T: Peek-a-boo Mirari's Wake could be pretty nice, if only a bit better than just playing Heartbeat of Spring or Mana Flare directly.
Umm... no. It's supposed to be legendary. I made it from my phone, and apparently I selected the wrong option. -_-
Nifty! Tap lands or mana elves from your hand. Good with Elvish Aberration... Even better with Mox Lotus ;)
Is it really meant to be basic?
Vaguely inspired by Swift Warkite.
It's a potentially free land and small creature, and it draws you a card. But yes, there is quite a bit of cost involved, and she is legendary.
Wow. That is quite an ability. Reminds me of Skyward Eye Prophets, but it's more like tap to get a free land and draw a card rather than "or".
That said, the cost is hefty both upfront and on activation, so... sure, go for it.
Though it is now partially reminiscent of Collected Company.
Mana cost was
; First ability cost was
; Second ability cost was

Removed mana ability; Added "you don't own" clause to spell gifting trigger
Yeah, this is a big dumb card. Let's make some changes.
Yeah, the mana ability should clearly go. But once that happens, I think this is fine in colours:
I can see this being in
without the mana ability. Possibly the "give spells to opponents" bit does justify the
.
The "give spells to opponents" bit is actually really interesting, though, enough so to justify being on a card on its own so it gets more focus. It's obviously awesome with One with Nothing :D But notably, the opponent doesn't get to change the targets. So Char/Psionic Blast becomes some hideous fully-kicked Illuminate.
Sadly it'd probably get killed by development, though, because things like Eater of Days and Leveler are probably just a bit too good and unfun with it.
This was sort of a top-down design of a wizardly Robin Hood that got out of hand. Look at all that text! Ah! And that slightly out-of-pie mana ability!
This is the colors it is because I'd like it to play nice with Zedruu, but if I was being honest, it would probably be Bant... Maybe. Hmm. Let me break it down.
All this thought is a bit silly (and probably full of typos because I've done it from my phone), because the design is far too wordy and cluttered.
Trying my hands at a planeswalker commander. I feel like they are even more difficult to balance than regular planeswalkers.
I tried to save some space with the wording on the illusion clause, and while it makes sense it does feel less professional
I went a bit crazy with the
ability.
It's also rather wacky that she gains loyalty through dying, and that she can only make use of her other abilities if she dies.
That first ability is unfortunately wordy.
FWIW, I love the concept of this, although I'm glazing over trying to read the number of words.
I do have a thing for weird cards.
Raging Ravine and Llanowar Reborn demonstrate counter weirdness, and at rare. I only wish that the first ability could consist of fewer words.
That is very weird. Cool, though. But it does need people to understand that irrelevant counters stay on permanents of the wrong type, but don't have any effect. I guess Gideon and Sarkhan Dragonspeaker do that too...
Added "for as long as they remain exiled," and made retiring other cards into a cost
Changed name. See Immé, Allmother for another version of the character, btw.
I make lots of weird and/or ill-advised cards when I make them in the moment before I fall asleep.
I feel like my previous comment was meant to be on Name Taker.
