In Limited you would (And yes, this would be stonkingly good - could easily have "you may pay
. If you do...").
In Constructed it's more varied, but the best type to name will sadly still generally be pretty obvious for any given opposing deck.
Hmm. I feel like you would almost always choose "creature." I also feel like I may have undercosted this.
I wonder... does this need to define a P/T for those cards or not? They won't be entering the battlefield as creatures, at least not because of Blind Mortician's effect. Creatures with undefined P/T (like an Entropic Specter that hasn't entered the battlefield) are generally just 0/0.
Hmm. I distinctly remember fixing that. I must have not saved the edit. Thank you.
You're missing 'hand' in the text box. Currently reads: '..mana ability from your onto the battlefield..'
Otherwise, appropriately costed, nice body, unique ability, altogether a cool card.
Does this need to say "are creature cards" or can it just say "are creatures," since it's already clear that they're cards and since "card" is not a type?
I've basically created this card twice between this and Vines of Verdure.
Haha, yes. A good way to work around his "limitation" is to maintain priority and cast several instants.
My designs in general tend toward wordy. It's one of my more common failings.
Interesting design... if a bit wordy.
Lol @ Caidar, the Priority-Holder
@HappenStance: Caidar, the Priority-Holder
So I assume the 'correct' way is to get this guy out, and on the next turn cast a bunch of spells at once, so they go on the stack and resolve forming the 'second graveyard'?
Thank you, sir, for the tentative compliment. :)
Eeenteresting. So he sets up a second graveyard for instants and sorceries, a bit like giving all your instants and sorceries flashback. But the drawback is that when there's anything in that second graveyard, you can't cast any other i/ses from your hand.
Reminds me a bit of Dralnu, Lich Lord, who had a different drawback in exchange for letting you reuse all your instants/sorceries.
I like it, I think.
Hmm, yes. I had forgotten that triggered mana abilities are still mana abilities...
T: Peek-a-boo Mirari's Wake could be pretty nice, if only a bit better than just playing Heartbeat of Spring or Mana Flare directly.
Umm... no. It's supposed to be legendary. I made it from my phone, and apparently I selected the wrong option. -_-
Nifty! Tap lands or mana elves from your hand. Good with Elvish Aberration... Even better with Mox Lotus ;)
Is it really meant to be basic?
Vaguely inspired by Swift Warkite.
It's a potentially free land and small creature, and it draws you a card. But yes, there is quite a bit of cost involved, and she is legendary.
Wow. That is quite an ability. Reminds me of Skyward Eye Prophets, but it's more like tap to get a free land and draw a card rather than "or".
That said, the cost is hefty both upfront and on activation, so... sure, go for it.
Though it is now partially reminiscent of Collected Company.
