To give you an idea, here is one I had already done - and the inspiration for the challenge
Jolrael of Jamuraa.

I also made Uril, Whitecover Guardian, based on Uril, the Miststalker. I need to stop doing this challenge so that I leave some legends for other people!

Added Phelddagrif Awakened because I am a goober.

Created Rosheen, Vagrant and Wort, Experience Seeker.

I'm also rather tempted to create ascended versions of the entire Weatherlight crew. Something like, when the Weatherlight happened upon Nicol Bolas fighting the Phyrexians at the Maelstrom to gain control of the Eldrazi, a freak magical effect engulfed the ship and caused all of them to awaken simultaneously. (Or similarly absurd justification.) Who'd like to join me in making them?

I think the members of the crew are:

Technically, that's one Double-Faced card of Squee. It also cheats by putting the "return this card to your hand" ability on the flipped side (because I've never had a lot of respect for 'the face down side is blank in all zones'), but, in theory, that could have just been on the front of the card... though it would make the card chunky.

I'm game. Some of these are harder than others. Starke seems tough for story reasons. Why would he bother hanging out with the crew at that point? Does he switch from red to straight black, or does he still just lay low and take advantage of situations? Ertai seems hard to make interesting. We've seen cocky wizard. What makes Ertai so special now. Same problem with Orim. Nothing insurmountable for any of the characters, though.

Added Commander Sisay... I think I might have stolen the easiest cast member to translate away from everyone. Crovax looks pretty easy, though... I'll leave him alone.

Currently, I'm on the hunt for Orim... I know what I want to do, I just got to make it link up. Mirri on the other hand confounds me. Her abilities on cards don't add up. I don't think rangers have ever translated well to Magic. I can easily see Mirri have a +1 which reads "Up to one target creature gains first strike, forestwalk and vigilance until end of turn." That seems like a cool first ability to me. Then what? I really don't like stacking Curiosity/Keen Senses on Mirri... Mirri's Guile is far off-color pie nowadays. Mirri the Cursed isn't this planeswalker. Leap is out. The only option that seems palpable to me is Blossoming Wreath/Nature's Kiss smooshed into ability. That seems okay, but that's two random abilities on a card with little internal flavor. Any suggestions?
