See Liquid Doubt. Reverse faze.
Dragons also have a similar thing Dragonspeaker Shaman
Angels had something similar in Kaldheim, right? I can dig it, although I think cleric or warlock would feels more appropriate than shaman.
Added a power and toughness. Although arguably that's not the important bit.
This card says it is a creature but does not say the power/toughness.
How would this interact with life payment? I do believe it would essentially allow to "pay life" by just getting a pain counter (provided you have at least how much life as you're "paying"), which only matters for your opponents, so it's basically free for you; which would be pretty disgusting with things like Necropotence (draw your deck for bbb), Plague of Vermin (create a trillion rats, and your opponents can only create (their life total)2 ) or even Unspeakable Symbol (all your creatures are a trillion/a trillion)
Reworded so that it doesn't use the monstrous mechanic, which felt a bit hacky
the ability already has plenty of restrictions: targeting, and especially activation cost.
Remove restriction once per turn
The reason I didn't write "
" is so that it does not disable the other ability. (Still, maybe it is better to remove that restriction anyways.)
I suppose that second ability wanted to start with "As long as"? I notice also that the untapped check is not even interacted with by the rest of the card. Some static abilities on artifacts make sense with this restriction, but lifelink doesn't strike me as a particular fitting candidate.
"Use this ability only once per turn" --> "
".
There is some weird incongruence betweent he abilities, where this can put the counters onlyon creatures, but grants lifelink to all permanents.
Very bizarre name for a black card
"If [Obscenely narrow hoop to jump through just happens to exist] then you win the game otherwise lose the game"
Turns out, this card has actually been printed and suggested before multiple times.
