You need to change the text to... Pay 4 life: Destroy target creature blocking or blocked by equipped creature.
On the cards, i would love to know if
means hybrid mana like Beseech the Queen :)
Yeah this is a "I win card", i think its way too overpowered though, if someone puts this into play is there any way you can revover? i think the trample is uneccesary since when you attack you can kill 10 (possibly more) of the opponents creatures.
I dont think its too good, strange maybe, but part of it is that colorless creatures havent really been fully explored (just huge eldrazi with mana costs only green can pay anyway) so i think you have to set your own standard for what colorless creatures should and shouldnt have, i dont think this is overpowered at all though.
it grows slowly yet exponentially, like fungus would, although i think you wouldnt be able to note the growth so much in the pace of today's magic games, i think this card needs to "grow" more fast so players sense that 'slow at first but uncontrolable later' growth feeling, maybe change the numbers from 3 counters to 2 counters, if its too powerful you could make it a 0/1, even though that conflicts with wizards stance on creatures with +1/+1 counters being mostly one creatures with power=toughness so you dont have to do much math, although they do it when its needed.
It hasnt happened yet so its not really a rule, because think about the reprints so far, they really couldnt name a black bordered card "The cheese stands alone", so the case hasnt really come up yet, the flavor of this card is so evocative that i think if Wizards ever did put this in black border, it would be on the same name. Wizard's policy can be taken also from the point of view of their reprint policy, newest reprint sets the rules for constructed play, be it formats or wording.
Agree with Alex, think this needs to cost either 1 more mana or change the p/t, scry 2 is really good every turn, i think if you want to make it cost 4 mana, you could make it cost 2UU and be uncommon, same p/t, or maybe something cheaper with scry 1.
I think it's totally ok, and its not always better than cancel, as many magic cards it has subtle differences, i can remove soul / essence scatter it, i can also stifle its ability. Although it would almost always be better, but not ovewhelmingly better, i think its really neat. I would love to see more flavor text in the set as the set is really flavor oriented design wise.
May I ask what does

stand for in the mana cost? is it hybrid like those in spectral procession?
On the card it does accomplish its job really well, i think if you have much more of these card, people will have more diverse decks, as one generally just puts 4x of the useful spells in his deck, quickly filling that 34-38 spell slots, this makes me want to only have one in the deck or ways to filter them from my hand once i have cast the first, aka Thirst for Knowledge or some sort.
Thanks. Yeah, exactly. Except that I don't think wizards allow black/silver reprints, so there's a simple "not tournament legal" flag on silver cards. (I suppose they may be able to bend the rule if they want to, "form of the squirrel" is not too silly a name for black-border, but I expect they don't want to.)
I agree that form of the squirrel doesnt have to be a silver bordered card, it is a really cool card many players would like to build decks around with.
