I didn't know about Gamekeeper.
Like Gamekeeper, only bigger and doesn't stop recursion shenanigans.
Candidate for the common artifact cycle with Vial of Bones, Vial of Ash, and Vial of Silk.
Candidate for the common artifact cycle with Robe of Dusk, Robe of Midday, and Robe of Midnight.
Reduced cost: It's not quite as good as Time Warp. Should this be mythic rare?
In a way, black already gets this effect, only better: See Worst Fears and Sorin Markov.
The name is actually a random reference to The Elder Scrolls that is almost completely unrelated except that it sort of sounds like it makes sense. And yes, if green is west to blue's East...
This is a mono-green take on Spiritual Eddy, except that I forgot to add the extra land drop and I didn't feel comfortable giving green extra combat phases.
That's very true.
Heh. Took me a moment to figure out the name. It was only when I started analysing the card that I realised (and also realised why this is rare).
A natural comparison is Dwarven Driller. The big difference between the two is you can tap that once every turn cycle, whereas this one you can only tap on turns the opponent casts a creature. Which may be 40%-50% of turns in Limited, but still, it's a difference.
I fear that it's too strong, though. Obviously life is easier to come by then mana, but burning for 2 isn't insignificant.
Evokes Withering Boon, which is a nice thing to do for a black countermagic card :)
