Wyluli Wolf asked me to mash it.
Now, green does NOT normally get land destruction. So we'll have to go sneaky-ways to get it. and it's common, so we'll stay within french-vanilla.
I really want the wyluli wolf to be able to eat this. But it has to tap to use its ability, so I can't see how I can. I'll keep the +1/+1 enter the battlefield idea; the altenative is an overpowered creature than an opponent can sac a land to counter (much like the red 4-damage-sorcery-in-disguise-creature whose name I forget right now. It's probably a goblin, or a skirk)
Originally was:
,
:~ deals 2 damage to target creature, unless its controller sacrifices a land.
Prodigal Sorcerer came up for mash; and fortunately for you lot, I didn't have room left in blue to put the colour pie back where it belongs. (Which is: Green gets creatures, black gets evil, red gets fireball, blue gets everything.) So yeah; red. And I don't just want a pyromancer. So very very VERY tempted to have
:Destroy target land. But people would scream. So... this.
In fact, Dwarven Driller probably Just Fits in this block.
Wasn't an intentional reference; but it's a good one.
Reminds me of Dwarven Driller.
Did you just create Earthbind?
made "and abilities" as it's not that great otherwise
Into the Fray Hm. Force a creature to attack; repeatably. Ok; I reckon there's still time to bring a new theme in to support that.
Vertigo mashed with set concept (and me remembering the 'out for vengence' part)
Possibly should be "Enchant Flying creature, or creature you control"?
But green gets flyer hate, it's still green direct damage though. A sorcery-speed shock-creatures-only damage, but still. Probably not really allowed in modern.
Why do you hate Second Wind so much?
I figure for the sake of nice wording it's safe to allow enchantments and planeswalkers to tap too.
I think it should be "When ~ is put into a graveyard from the battlefield, exile it. If you do, destroy up to two target lands."
Grazing Gladehart was unexpectedly awesome in Zendikar. With no LD around, this gains you half as much but gains you for opponents too. With a bunch of lands dying, this could gain even more life; but that's made up for by the smaller body. So... good design.
I don't know if you care, but it doesn't work to target in the middle of a replacement effect like this, and it's really fiddly to find a similar wording that does work. Might I suggest "When ~ is destroyed, return it from your graveyard to the battlefield and destroy two target lands"?
Kismet just taps artifacts, creatures, and lands.
Reprint of Kismet, obviously. Probably shouldn't really be in a common slot though.
Ooops! Well, never mind. It's white's set-theme; and if your theme isn't in common, it's not your theme, right?
Ondu Cleric mash
Krark's Thumb mash?! Buh.
