How is that a waste? It's a 1 for 1, that you pay 0 mana for, that has the option of being a normal board wipe late game.
Manaless dredge lol. Seriously though, in a normal environment, when do you see this being cast for its void cost? To me, it would seem like a waste to drop this on the opponent's 1-drop and you could basically only do that if you're going second without gimping yourself. I don't see anything in this set that would really support void.
I bet you feel like a douche-back when you drop this on the opponent's first land when going second.
Also, WotC has been dropping the power of land destruction in that they now pretty much always cost more than three mana. Stone Rain being the example of a LD card that's "too powerful".
It always gets my eyebrows arching when I see a card that might need to be restricted to one in the Vintage format. Some decks don't have any bad options.

seems somewhat overpushed. Cantrip decks like Jeskai Ascendancy would love this very much.
In the end, I think it's possible the opponent is really left with only bad options (like with Fact or Fiction) so it's just busted.

Yeah, I'm sort of also using this as a slush file for interesting ideas. I think Aurelia is a better 'more combat phases' creature at 6cmc, personally. This is a defender so it's not really attacking and you sacrifice defense to use it on your turn (flavor!) Perhaps this should cost mana to activate, I dunno. I'll think on it.

In a set called "Eldrazi Futuresight [sic]", I haven't concerned myself with cost issues, but undoubtedly. I'd posit 4RW for the creature, another 1RW for the ability? It doesn't untap your stuff, so it's not too broken.

Before your draw step, maybe, but the earliest you can activate this is during the upkeep.
I don't care why this lets me have an attack before my upkeep - this lets me have an attack before my upkeep. That's got to be useful in a combo SOMEWHERE.

Maybe make it cantrip, though? It's going to be a little hard to justify including this in a deck even if it's a deck with Serra's Sanctum in it, as things stand.
That helps, but not hugely. Honestly; I'd be happier to see this as an instant than equipment.
It is worth noting that it gives defender, so this is a purely defensive card. It requires a creature to do anything, however I do admit that unless it is removed or your opponent has a lot of power on board, it pretty much shuts down attacking for them. I increased the mana cost by 1, but I might need to do something else instead to balance it. Perhaps make it become unattached at the end of combat each turn?
