changed blocks to attacks as it should always have been.
removed Tribal supertype
cleanup of wording
remove flavour text which read - Though the names once engraved upon it are lost to time, its power merely slumbers.
removed ETBs tapped.
inspired by the Eventide rare land cycle that cost 1 hybrid to activate for XX, XY, or YY mana - a la Fetid Heath.
Tarkhet is the actual name of the plane more commonly referred to as the Shifting Sands.
dropped from the cost
Well, it's been a long time since Wizards have printed any Armageddon variants, but Boom // Bust had "destroy all lands for 6 mana" as one of its options.
I originally had this at cmc 6 but bumped it up one due to the LD option.
I like it. I suspect by comparison with Austere Command this could probably cost 6, as the last two modes on AC make this card's first mode, and the first two modes on AC make (nearly) this card's last mode.
Looking at changing this cycle to cost 3 but not ETB tapped but they may be too strong then??? not sure yet
Bumped up to Rare
Point taken
Whoa. Very strong. Compare Palace Siege and Oversold Cemetery. Palace Siege suggests this miight be okay at 4 mana, but it should definitely be rare.
There is a reason Eladamri's Call has been on and off the restricted list since it was printed. :0
It is possible that it could be monocoloured but I needed a GW rare and this works well with the green/white submechanic that cares about creatures going to the graveyard.
Hm. Also strictly worse than Eladamri's Call, though, right? I know that's a very good card, but still... Perhaps this could be monocoloured?
Altar of Bone as an Instant - to combo with Bitter Resolve
