Cool card, maybe make it a 0/2? Let's just test it, it's a nice mill card.
Well, I still think White has enough at Common, would like to give it a Combattrick to distinguish it a bit more from other colours.
Well, there also was Narnam Cobra in the same set, which is better than Curio Vendor most of the time. Like the Cobra, this gets hit by more Removal than other creatures in this set. If it's still too good you might want to make it unable to block.
I can get behind it not exiling, and I dont specifically want this card for that slot. I'd much rather have a different variant of interactive removal.
Yeah I see it now, for some reasons I was thinking of using this on your opponents turn, rather than precombat.
This can't be better than what blue gets for 2 mana, and blue doesn't gets bears. Blue barely gets Curio Vendors with minor upside.
Would be pushed hard. A colourless bear with upside in Common? Better not, I like symmetry too, but that would push it hard.
About adding flavour text, I personally find that existing fluff might be misleading or unknowingly forcing you to fit the flavour when searching for art and names. That's kinda the wrong way around as how this should go, especially if the person looking for art is not the same as the one who has written the text. I personally would not want to force art onto a card that doesn't fit the flavour text without asking first, since it kinda feels bad to me.
? It's a combat trick, not a precombat buff. Better said it's either/or, since you can use it before combat to gain the extra, like Might of Old Krosa, or just as a simple buff for your attackers, or both effects for your blockers. Just a +2/+0 and lifelink buff is friggin boring and doesn't play into the mechanics of the set, which this card does quite nicely.
I would, since there are a few, especially already at Common and most likely more to come at higher rarities. If White gets an Instant Removal, fine, I just really do not see the reason for another Exile effect. Yes, another, at Common, which really is a lot and not that comparable to Impeccable Timing or other stuff.
Don't know if it'd be considered pushing it, but it'd feel perfectly symmetrical if the P/T was 2/2. And I like symmetry when practical.
I can see something for the instant/sorcery thing.
Was thinking about making the cycling cost
to kind of fit in with the single mana cycling cycle but we have 1 card that makes colorless mana at common so thats not going to work.

I just feel like we're lacking support for the
archetype and an augur of bolas effect would help support that. I would like this to be changed into some kind of support for that archetype anyway.
Yea I saw that. That could help with some decisions for card names and flavor text in the future.
Added legendary/important characters to the world building slot. Not all of them have to have cards but if you want to have a quote from someone or something like that you can use it as a reference. I used some of the names already mentioned on other peoples cards as well, so if you want to go and edit the descriptions I put of them to what you originally though of go ahead. There's still room for other characters as well so you can add them too.
I think I also prefer discoveries, as territories feels a bit militaristic.
How about make it an artifact creature with cycling? That way it'd reflect our mechanics and themes better, and kind of bring cycling back in because Deserted Manalith was taken out.
I dont think its that much of a problem, especially since it just mills for 1. Also works as a wall like creature against aggressive decks.
This could simply be a 3/3 with defender
Not sure how I feel about this. Basically, you pay 2 life to make it a good blocker until end of turn. I guess I'd prefer to have a creature with more simple utility than one with significant costs like life in order to function.
I can maybe see a watered down 3 CMC Augur of Bolas that adds a CMC 4 or greater instant/sorcery. I don't know though, if this is going to be replaced maybe it should be something different entirely, some kind of blue control.
Well this would help make Mill more viable. Not sure how I feel about a mill card getting the 1 CMC creature slot though.
Changed name
