World building through flavor text, go!

Please do not immediately add a new card to the skeleton if it's a contested spot, at least wait for some remarks to the card. Not sure White needs another way to deal with creatures, also almost conditionless instant exile at Common is not seen anymore. The token is cute, but White is not the token colour in this set, Green and Black are.

I agree with that Gusto. Though I believe this particular slot was tagged as being for "tokens". Maybe that was a mistake. I've seen a number of white token cards and thought to myself "isn't B/G the token color?". I can see it on like one or two white cards in the whole set at most.

It wasn't tagged as "tokens" until recently, maybe Secret changed it? It still had the old tag when I added an alternate card earlier.

Ah I didn't know that.

Cards that make tokens take up a creature slot in the design skeleton. As far as im aware, this and Sting are the only noncreature spells to make tokens, but both currently take up instant/sorcery spots. This could cost less and do the same thing minus the token?

Rather not, White has enough ways already to deal with creatures and doesn't need another exile spell in my opinion. Would like to see the pump spell in this slot.

White doesnt actually have any permanent removal for creatures at common, while it does already have a pump spell and a creature which acts as one. Considering {u/w} is our control archetype I dont find that very fitting.

It has a soft removal, an enchantment removal that hits some creatures in this set and the DFC exiler. Really against White getting another removal option in Common, it doesn't need so much removal.

Removed this fro the skeleton until we agree what we need in this spot.

I wouldn't count the enchantment removal as creature removal since there are currently only 4 enchantment creatures in the set. Sunwind Glider makes you jump through hoops to get the exile off. Most sets have some sort of reactive removal in white now; Impeccable Timing, Gideon's Reproach, Puncturing Light. It's especially weird that white doesnt get some sort of instant removal considering its had at least 1 in pretty much every set released recently. If nothing else we should cut another piece of removal and have a instant version of it.

I would, since there are a few, especially already at Common and most likely more to come at higher rarities. If White gets an Instant Removal, fine, I just really do not see the reason for another Exile effect. Yes, another, at Common, which really is a lot and not that comparable to Impeccable Timing or other stuff.

I can get behind it not exiling, and I dont specifically want this card for that slot. I'd much rather have a different variant of interactive removal.

Well, I still think White has enough at Common, would like to give it a Combattrick to distinguish it a bit more from other colours.

How about putting a +1/+1 counter on a creature instead of creating a token? That fits this color's archetypes better.

Both the other instants in white function as combat tricks atm; Bathe in Glory and Dispersing Light .

I did a quick check of the most recent sets. White common instants usually are between 80% and 100% combat tricks if you count every instant removal, pump and creature protection as such. shrug

Ok cool, wouldn't count removal though unless it's Impeccable Timing or the likes.

Thats pretty much what white removal is at common, with a few exceptions. A card like that is what I'd want for this spot, reactive removal.

Yep, but let's keep it more like Impeccable Timing than another exile effect.

Agreed
