Random Generator gave me Jump and Bad Moon, and after a few minutes of wracking my brain, I couldn't help but reprint To the Moon and Back from the Challenge # 049.
Zeeeeeee!
Random generator gave me Kresh the Bloodbraided and Ghostly Touch. Originally, this card was green and tapped a creature, but it wasn't spot on color, and I needed a few more blue rares, so I added the 'untap that creature' part and voila, a blue Legend. Worst case scenario, this guy is a 4/4 for 4 when attacking. Seems fine by me.
Oop. I'm not paying attention. Unfortunate, but I guess this and the white one will have to have color.
Ah. This one, on the other hand (by contrast with (((Viashino Caravan)))), does add
to your mana pool, so it's okay for it to have the green land frame...
Huh. So it does. Altering.
Hellion Crucible suggests that this should have the colourless-land frame.
I do like the idea of this in a land-sacrificing deck.
Working on the rare lands. I had three that asked to be mono-color lands including this one, so I tied them all into a cycle, presuming I'll pick up the blue and the black one later on.
There was a bit of monkeying on the first line of all the cards, but I simplified them by just changing it to "
: Add
" and making the second ability require the correct colored mana.
This card originally activated to turn into a 3/1 first striker, then had a line that put 3 1/1 lizards into play if you destory it. If you look at my previous notes, this is the first card in Mashup land, and I was being a bit literal back then. I still kind of want this to turn into a creature on activation... but its too much to track. As it stands, 3 lizards for sacrificing a land is probably too much, if we're to belive Gods' Eye, Gate to the Reikai, which was, believe it or not, actually used. Geez. Granted, it came with it's own mode of blowing itself up, but that involved sacrificing two lands for 2 1/1s, one land of which could never be used for mana...
Anyhow, I simultaneously don't like how this isn't very strong or generally useful, and how this is really unfair when put in the right deck. That's weird. Maybe those two balance and this card is good. I don't know.
Changed the first line to colorless. So it didn't break the cycle (and gave all the other colors access to something very green for no commitment), I added an activation of one
.
