Agreed, really good, especially with counterspells. Alternatively, you could just have a Centaur Glade in play. That would have roughly the same effect as long as you have at least four mana. And you could attack, play a land and draw cards on the same round you made a creature, change your mind mid-turn what you want to do, drop creatures after board wipe, and begin putting two creatures in play when you get to 8. See also: Leafdrake Roost, though, at least with that card, you were really forcing the colors.
Hmm... What do we think? Maybe 4 mana? I don't want to nerf the card by making it decidedly worse than every creature token generating enchantment... but I certainly don't want to make it broken either. Let's bump up to 4.
In exchange for ending the turn, mind you... So you'd have to use this and stuff with flash. Which.. yeah, ok, still relatively busted.
Also, this card is busted ass OP for limited, and possibly even constructed. In fact.. an uncommon enchantment for 3 colorless that just poops out 3/3 golems? just busted.
Good flavor text ^_^
Hee. Fun. I can kinda see how you got here, though it's indeed not the most obvious destination.
Random generator gave me Talruum Champion and Verdant Haven. I tried making a red first striker... but I just kept pivoting on the Champion, and not really using the Haven. Turning 'firstest strike' in my head to 'bestest mana' helped... though I have no idea how I got here. Guess I should just be glad I did.
Oh, and I decided not to obsolete Skyshroud Troopers by giving this a cost of
. They're clunky, but they'd be fun to see pop up in a core set some day.
Welll... it's potentially quite horrible if you've also got a lot of kobolds from another source. But even then, you need to cast this, and keep it and the kobolds alive till your next turn to use it. I'm not scared of the one-off "Blow up a land once I'm dead"; it costs a huge amount, and it's only the one.
