Random Generator gave me Elf Replica and Fireblast. I thought about making this an artifact creature, just cause, but it just doesn't sound like an artifact to me... the card sounded like an elf that was ticked that his enchantments got destroyed and he'll take it out on anyone.
Also, I can't help not give Haste and Vigilance to green. I'm a bit surprised Wizards doesn't do it more often, just cause. I know they try to conserve keywords equally in all colors, but green and white probably need more keyword abilities, because they have more creatures. Unless they start adding more evergreen non-creature keyword abilities (which sounds like a good plan to me)...
How would more evergreen non-creature abilities help white and green? They need more evergreen creature abilities, I'd think.
I love the mashup. But the name sounds like he doesn't really exist.
I actually meant that more evergreen non-creature abilities would help Blue, Red and Sometimes Black. It would increase the amount of keyword abilities in Magic, and allow green and white creatures to retain more creature keyword abilities, thus helping them in kind. It's a nice thought, but it probably wouldn't work in the end. White and Green would have more keyword abilities on its creatures, and some people would see that as being a tilted color pie, and the pie would be rebalanced despite my better intentions.
You're right, the name is off. It was an attempt to get the concept of "He's blaming outsiders for the damage that his own tribe has done", but that clearly doesn't come across. I'm not sure what name to give him. Words like 'Patriot' aren't very green. Hmm...
The name is at least a bit better. But I think I get a little too carried away with words sometimes...
