Hm, so like a Lotus Petal that gives
rather than 1 of any colour.
Pretty much, yeah.
Definitely. This is now a Viral Drake which rather than flying, can cycle-from-table like the Urza's Destiny cards, Brass Secretary and Marker Beetles and so on. Seems reasonable.
Also, Vitenka, if you know you don't have 3 of those colors, the chances go way down...You know what, this might actually be TOO good. I'm gonna change it to an uncommon and make the (2) a (3).
I explained in the Challenge #21 comments, but I had to run yesterday & didn't have time. Basically, you can play it for (0) as a land that gives you (2), except for you discard it at the end of your turn, and it doesn't count as your land drop, i.e. you could play this and a forest on your first turn.
It deals damage. That makes it red :)
Reminiscent of red? Really? Not what I was going for, but...
Changed (T) to Sacrifice CARDNAME, which would definitely make it at LEAST uncommon. Would that help?
Hmm... maybe uncommon would be a good idea. Thx.
It proves the pope is catholic, obviously.
@jmg: You think? I think I'd hold this back until my opponent was attacking with stuff before I popped it to cast my Murderous Redcap or Bloodmark Mentor :)
Erm, could you explain what this ability does?
"Target exiled card you own".
BTW, you know Epic is already a keyword mechanic with a completely different meaning, right? Enduring Ideal, rather than the Locket of Yesterdays ability.
Reminiscent of Pyromancy and Knollspine Invocation.
What you call "cognitive dissonance" in this case is usually known as "tension" in card design circles. It's interesting to read the GDS and GDS2 submissions and see the judges' opinion of the "tension" that the candidates include in their card designs. They're usually fairly scathing of it, with comments along the lines of "Either way the player ends up feeling bad".
Hmm. It's funny. The way these "Walkers" work, they might as well be come into play abilities, or sorcerys, since the only time they won't be activated immediately is when your really, really need a blocker. Still, based on the other cards that were in a set, I could see these popping up the way they are written. Plus, a creature that came into play and put another creature into play would probably have to become uncommon, and closely watched. This could probably hang out at common.
