Yeah, it's really just a strange way of making this card obnoxious. You're not only forced to kill some piddling thing, but then it's in the graveyard making everything else almost impossible to kill.
But like I said, this is on the chopping block.
Yeah, I find it hard to judge. On the one hand, I can't beleive they printed some of the cards they did print. OTOH, if you play this and can follow it up with a spire barrage or any other simple burn spell, that's thirty-five damage in one turn.
I like the Incarnation-Blink ability. The first ability is curious.
Yay, Pyrotechnics was always a fun card without ever being excessively good. Bringing back the ability with a card-advantage rider sounds good to me.
Yowch. Double strike is definitely a more sensible ability to pair with this triggered ability... but 15 points of damage might be a bit much for a 6-mana flyer, even if it's mythic.
Of course, I might have similar criticisms for a number of Wizards' mythics, such as Baneslayer Angel or Inferno Titan, so...
It's probably okay if Shared Discovery was.
This is the least likely incarnation in terms of form and function. Even its name is barely useable. But I'm just filling in the skeleton from my set file.
Yeah this is really nasty now it's a 15 point swing on its own. 5 first strike then 5+5 from ability normal damage. Very Mythic
Changed trample to double strike. Feels less frowny, more scary.
Hmmmmmm...
Switch trample for double strike? Simple enough fix.
Too bad it doesn't have double strike.
I was trying to figure out a creative take on a Donate/Cultural Exchange style effect for this slot, but have yet to come up with something sufficiently red or cleanly executed.
This fusion of Through the Breach and Fling has an amusing interaction with Tyrant of Herat, though I may need to fix the Tyrant as per Alex's comments.
Removed rhythm.
It's actually interesting to see how the ability filters down from Black to White and then to Red, as Black gets everything, White gets permanents, and Red just gets creatures.
Note: This card is a riff on Seismic Assault + Carbonize, replacing the infinitely more complex and weird Temporal Dilation that had been in this slot.
Hopefully the steep additional cost keeps this from being broken (like every other artifact-tutor-to-battlefield.)
Heh. Curious to see the Samurai of the Pale Curtain / Leyline of the Void ability in red, but I guess it was also the Frostwielder ability of Kumano and his shamans. The flavour here goes a long way to helping that, though :)
Oo, interesting.
