If I had to pick a color to be graceful, it would probably be blue. But you're right, "Grace" doesn't sound very blue.
jmgariepy, I have no idea what you're talking about.
It's been something like 7 years since equipment came out, and their power level is still inconsistant. Strange and interesting.
Oop. Can't think about this anymore. 'Pirate Jenny' just popped up on my playlist. "And the ship! The Black Freighter! Comes around in a harbor, shooting guns from the bow!"
Armor doesn't sound good as an acronym: AoGaG. also grace doesn't fit blue.
trigger requirement is too easy to meet.
The effects on these do need to be weaker than the swords because they work on both attacking and blocking, but also because they don't rely on combat damage. I worry that on this one, even the 2 life might be too much, since with the second ability, the creature can attack or block every turn.
The effects are rather smaller than those on the Swords (this is reminiscent of Sword of Feast and Famine and Sword of Light and Shadow, but SoLiS's 3 life was one of the weakest Sword effects and this is less than that). That's entirely justified both because the Swords were a pretty pushed power level, and also because these effects work when blocking as well. I like the idea.
It's a card in the "[noun] of [quality] and [counter-quality]" cycle that isn't isn't ridiculously broken! Ok, it pays for its own equip cost straight away, which is pretty nasty - and gets progressively nastier as you find better stuff to untap. And it utterly hoses two colours. And, yeah, ok, maybe this does belong in that broken broken cycle.
Could this put pushed to having the creatures cost
less per counter? Outside of EDH, getting the counters is going to be fairly situational.
Softened the color commitment.
That was the goal. :-)
Heh. Condensing the standard
,
as seen on 8 different creatures into one
symbol. :)
Ohhh, tokens. I should probably not include those.
Whoa. Token decks certainly love it. (Is it meant to apply to tokens?) If it said "nontoken" I think it'd be fine at 4 or 3. (Reminiscent of River Kelpie at that point.) Working on tokens too, it might be too good... Mentor of the Meek at least charges you mana.
Is this acceptable at 4cmc?
Name change.
Hmm... the point was actually to untap the lands. I've just increased the cost for now, but I'll ponder the alternatives.
jmg is right in that it also acts as a land-only Seedborn Muse, though that can be worked around by having the lands enter tapped. You don't get the lands back if you activate during the end step until the following end step, so that degenerate interaction doesn't exist.
Ursapine++ is an issue. What if something limited how often you could activate the ability? Maybe bring the lands tapped during the upkeep, so they don't untap the turn you use them?
