Would it need a clause against casting cares with CMC 0?
I meant it to be Kentaro, the Smiling Cat for non-samurai.
It's like cascading into Hypergenesis, but with more control (and the ability to run cards like Wheel of Fate without spoiling the cascade).
I know that it probably can't happen, I just like the concept. And apparently cmeister2 quite likes it. lol
For layout, I imagine you'd put it between the two bound cards or something. Maybe put it between the two "battlefields" if the cards were controlled by different players. I don't know.
You might be able to do something like Imprint for an Aura though. However, the potential for card disadvantage in that scenario would be a lot.
I thought the same about the physical implications, which is really annoying because I quite like the mechanic.
I think this is costed fine; it's somewhat like Yoke of the Damned. It sadly would be too fiddly, due to physical layout considerations: for single-attachment cards (Auras and Equipment) people can physically place the card touching what it's attached to. That wouldn't work for this kind of thing, especially if the two cards are controlled by different players, or if there are multiple Bindings.
Ah, I see what you mean. I think this can be cheaper because (a) it's only creatures and (b) creatures typically have to become to tapped to do anything, but this functions best when there's another creature going to the graveyard. (It may be able to kill quickly, especially if you have sac creatures, but is still only sorcery speed.)
I only said this because I was thinking of Brink of Disaster, but it may be fine at this price. I'm no expert at costing, either.
I think this is interesting. (You're probably right, binding would be too fiddly, but it's still interesting.) I tried something similar once, but it was much more complicated.
I'm bad at costing, but I would have thought it was about right: it will almost always end up killing a creature, and can kill almost any creature, but will normally only actually take effect after something else. There are probably ways it can do more than doom blade, but I don't think many (?)
I love the concept of binding two creatures together! Though it could get a little sticky in rules text.
Also this probably needs to cost more.
Mostly about the concept. I doubt this would be used, since it would be difficult to overcome the card disadvantage. I'm not sure if this works exactly like I want it to, either.
Rules: On auras, when the enchanted permanent dies/ goes away,, the aura dies too. On bindings, when enchanted permanent goes away, so does the aura, but the other permanent would be left behind. Except this one.
Jack- I knew when I made it. lol
jmgariepy- Nope. :)
You mean this wasn't created using the MagicCardGenerator at http://www.toothycat.net/wiki/wiki.pl?AlexChurchill%2FMagicCardGenerator ?
;)
:)
As it turns out, there seems to be one card that targets a library (most say "target player's library" so "your library has hexproof" would do something, but not a lot :)
Alternatively you could say flood target player and then you can make John Donne jokes and tap yourself for mana :)
I know this doesn't work in the rules. I know it's bizarre. I just created it as a "what if?" thought experiment. It means so many weird things that don't work within the rules that I had to post it.
Flooding comes from our Community Card Set and from the discussion on Mono Blue.
I think it counteracts the difficulty/impossibility of countering him if he's "cast" this way, since he'll basically only be useful on the opponent's turn.
He gets to do a Viashino Sandscout impression. Fair enough.
Designed while trying to come up with another version of Marthanos, because for whatever reason I like making versions of him.
This seems a lot like flash, but it's not the same. It's generally better.
Hmm. You are correct, sir. But can I keep the current costing and P/T?
The abilities are odd for the pie, but I felt the overall feel was demonic. In a way it's related to your challenge, for which I designed Pale-Wing.
Ooh, nice. Like my Imperturbable Guardian but universal.
If it was "Creatures you control" in both cases, then it'd function as a hoser for Soulgate Demon in the opponent's deck while being a great combo with it in the Demon's deck.
