Should probably lump the damage and make it come from Scrap Engineering, but this is more flavorful and potent.

I would feel better if it triggered when an artifact goes to your graveyard so that it would feel more like recycling and would point a little more at canisters (while still working with artifact creatures and such). You could also consider making it bigger (3G 3/3 trample) which I think will make it feel more green.
