Thank you! I think the ultimatums are always a bit more based on feeling appropriate to the central colour than on drawing something from each. I think I'd view cruel ultimatum as "B says drain, UU says drain cards, RR says drain damage, BB says drain creature"...? :)
Reminds me of Cruel Ultimatum, but scaled down to uncommon. I think this works if you view the damage+lifegain as
, and Cruel works if you view the damage+lifegain as
drain. (Okay, at that point you're left wondering what the red is doing in Cruel.)
I think 5 mana in 4 colours is probably okay. Maybe. Hmm... It's going to be easier to cast than Violent Ultimatum (he says having tried to cast Ultimata a few times and realised just how tricky they are), and usually be at least as good. It's spread across 4 colours not 3, but most manabases capable of assembling the precise colours for an Ultimatum could easily hit four or five colours too. So maybe this should cost 7 in total.
Wow, this can destroy three of any type of permanent, or four planeswalkers. Very powerful, but maybe four colors means that's okay?
Not only that. Each can destroy any kind of permanent except for one (okay, black can't destroy enchantments either, so there goes the beauty).
But, yes, I think the link between the nonblue colors is that they actually get rid of permanents.
Blightning Kiss four simple effects attempting to form a coherent whole.

Another attempt to meld four colour-iconic effects into one whole. It looks pretty painful.
Alive // Kicking, a split card with each half a hybrid mana. It would be nicer to make each half a gold effect, but I wasn't sure what effect to use.

Mirrodin Quisling using r/w for battle cry and b/g for infect.
For Challenge # 064
Looking for keywords which show up in specifically two colours. I could have gone with first strike being r/w etc, but felt the faction keywords were more iconic.
Heh. Somewhere between Decimate and Violent Ultimatum :)
My first thought is it's not hugely four-colour, but on reconsideration I'm wrong: each colour except blue can destroy at least one kind of permanent. Nice.

Physical Superiority
Hmm... Yes, I suppose it does, in a way, in that a card that was "all colors" in that set would be... well, the colors of this card. But that's not a gold set. Maybe a one-of mythic would make sense, if normal sets tended to have five-color mythics.
You know, Link... I'm kind of surprised I haven't seen you pull out any design specifically for your 'World without Blue'. This challenge seems to play right into that world.
Hee! Like a mix between a Borderpost, a Signet and a Karoo. Indeed good. Probably uncommon?
This originally was missing green rather than blue and allowed you to cast nonland, noncreature spells. I think this version is safer and makes just as much sense color-wise. I think the flavor is a bit better, too.
Ink-Treader Borderpost
Upped CMC to parallel Omniscience.
You're welcome! I thought that might be the case. I hate posting from my Kindle.
