cost 5 mana not 4
You may well be right. Mirari's Wake was 5 mana and so was Storm Cauldron.
Hovermyr is indeed somewhat better than this.
Hmmm... removal that fits in WUBR... "Put target attacking creature on top of its owner's library" isn't black-red enough...
How about "~ deals [some] damage to target attacking creature. If that creature would die this turn, put it on top of its owner's library instead"?
Jhessian Infiltrator and Inkfathom Infiltrator agree.
I was going to mention Challenge # 027 when I saw this, but you beat me to it. This does seem quite strong, but I think it's appropriately costed.
Nice.
I like this kind of card. :-)
I do think that, even though it's four-color, it should have a higher CMC.
Actually, I think it might have to be "dies during combat." I like this one, but notbas much as the previous two I commented on. I do like the triggers. As you pointed out, you've paired them well with combat damage and dying.
Love this one, too. Very nice. The name made me think itbeould be a spider, for some reason.
I love this. Good job. Blue is the only color that doesn't get "destroy" effects outside of Polymorph-style cards.
And Common nongreen creature
For Challenge # 064
represents one of five mana symbols meaning "any colour but this one", in this case green. It wouldn't have to follow the hybrid model of "meld of colours you can use to play it" -- it would probably have a distinctive card frame that would let you skip over the colours you knew you weren't drafting.
It's a bit weak: I think even artifacts have got better than this, and this is slightly more restrictive. But I'm not sure if there's an ideal size.
Unfortunately, green has a clear "not this" theme. Do the other colours? Black and red are both defined by "can't deal with enchantments", sort of. Green is also defined by "no direct creature removal" -- but is there any creature removal which could fit in black, white AND red AND blue?
And from the same idea as alex, the double-hybrid Sneaky Bear.
For Challenge # 064
Just beaten to the punch by Alex, here's the other way of making a four-colour creature.
says "2/2 upside".
says "unblockable".
I really wanted this to be common, but I suspect a 2/2 unblockable (even with extra mana needed) may be too dominating in limited.
While I wait for a RGWU idea, have also Revisit, for a sneaky answer to the challenge.
I had this idea, but thought it was too nasty to bother creating. Then I had a few more ideas, and noticed that the colour combination here was different to all three of the others, so I thought I'd go for Link's challenge of making one for each four-colour combo.
You're sure making a lot of these! I feel like a piker.
Yeah, that is a very sensible simple take on the idea. One of the only nonrare submissions, too.
Ooh, I like it. Four four-ish CMC effects, one for each colour is a really sensible idea, I should have thought of it first.
