I think combining the attack ability and vigilance into an untap ability was awesome.
First strike + wither is indeed a lot like flanking (but more so :)), but I assume it should be wither insteads of infect (neither card dealt poison originally). And ideally that half of the ability would gain something from Scalpelexis, but I agree, I'm not sure what.
Mashup of Femeref Knight and Scalpelexis for the Challenge # 001. I got a little stuck at the end when I realized which two cards I had left. A strict application of mashup would just add vigilance and flanking to Scalpelexsis and call it a day. Boring. I did what I could to spice it up, but I might have been reaching too hard. Flanking turns into infect for a creature whose artwork already looks like it is infecting you. I changed Vigilance to the untap mechanic to make it seem more alien as well. Probably all kinds of busted, but the untap mechanic was already busted, so whatever.
Mashup of Pyrokinesis and Advance Scout for Challenge # 001. This could have easily have been written "Up to 4 target creatures get First Strike until end of turn." but it just didn't look splashy to me that way. Maybe I'm just greedy.
Mashup of Ingot Chewer and Rolling Spoil for Challenge # 001. At first, I was aiming for making the evoke cost more than the creature, but destroy a land, destroy an artifact and Shrivel all creatures seemed too random together. Still, I like this. Can easily be drafted in a mono-black deck, but gives you an incentive to add a few Mountains.
Smashup of Undead Gladiator and Daze from Challenge # 001. No fancy tricks here... the two cards work together nicely. Maybe too nicely. That's a lot of versatility for the blue wizard.
Mashup of Phyrexian War Beast and Delirium for Challenge # 001. The 'sacrifice a land' bit could be removed to make it a stronger card, but it keeps the reference solid, so I'll let it sit.
It's an interesting question whether this is out of the colour pie. Smokestack and Possessed Portal can force players to sacrifice nonspecific permanents. Is it pie-breaking to let blue or black force the opponent to sac an artifact?
You definitely could go in that direction. There are lots of possible mashups of these two. I liked the way Pyrokinesis requires you to exile a red card from hand to ACC the red spell, so I thought I'd make the opponent exile a card from hand and care about its colour. 1 from hand + 3 from library would be very fiddly and asymmetric, but I think making them lose 2 cards from hand would be very harsh (Silent Specter).
Nice. I've always liked the War Beast, but never had a good reason to play him. It's too much of a draw back.
I'm somewhat surprised this design space hasn't been explored more. There's Desertion, Draining Whelk, and Overwhelming Intellect, as well as the sideways Gather Specimens and Spelljack. But creature spells have a pair of other convenient variables to read, power and toughness, that it makes sense to do something with.
I like it, but it feels like the card should exile 4 cards, then deal 1 damage to the opponent for each card that shares a color...
Could alternatively replace "deal 3 damage to that player" with "repeat this process", at which point it becomes a monoblack Specter.
I approve of the ACC. Some more harsh ACCs need to float around... it would keep a lot more games honest.
The return from graveyard as a cost is obviously the most interesting bit here. Perhaps that does need an upkeep restriction like in the source material, but perhaps not. It does cost 2 mana.

I have entered! My cards are: Femeref Despoiler, Advanced-in-Years Scout, War Chewer, Pyrolexis, Delirious Daze. I tried to make the names obvious where the mashup came from rather than giving them names more customised for their individual existence.
Hahaha!
Oh, good question. I hadn't realised when I first saw it. It doesn't fit the terms of the challenge, but it makes me think of something like this: :)
White Knight. 1W. ~'s power is equal to the number of plains you control, and its toughness is equal to the number of forests you control.
Green Knight. 1G. ~'s power is equal to the number of plains you control, and its toughness is equal to the number of forests you control.
Cerulean Knight. 1U. ~'s power is equal to the number of plains you control, and its toughness is equal to the number of forests you control.
Yellow Knight. 1R. ~'s power is equal to the number of plains you control, and its toughness is equal to the number of forests you control.
Grey Knight. 1B. ~'s power is equal to the number of plains you control, and its toughness is equal to the number of forests you control.
Yeah I wanted this challenge to be a challenge, will be interesting to see what people come up with.
