Possibly an Incarnation (if it's supposed to represent peace) or a shapeshifter, or an illusion. I'm pretty sure white is cool with having the occasional illusion. If it wasn't so concerned about colored mana, I would have suggested Eldrazi... Also kind of reminds me of Kamigawa Spirirts.

Any ideas on what creature type this looks like? I'm leaning towards Squid and/or Beast, though it is peaceful, beautiful, and lives in outer space.

Entirely depends what the needs of your set are. A 2/4 with just this activated ability is plenty interesting enough, so I don't see a need for a keyword ability as well, unless the set is otherwise devoid of common white vigilance creatures or some such.

First strike is probably a bit confusing on a fight card. People will think that it gets to deal its damage first in the fight, but it doesn't.
