And that's not to mention the self-mill aspect... A constructed deck could easily use this to mill their whole deck, and then win with any of the usual Narcomoeba / Dread Return / Necrotic Ooze shenanigans...
Mmm. For the low cost of playing this on turn one, you now get an endless stream of Untamed Wilds, with the restriction that the land it gets is random, but that you can activate at the end of your opponent's turn. Why would anyone bother to play Cultivate with this in the environment?
Wow, this is so much better than Journeyer's Kite it's untrue. And that card is a classic staple in EDH and some other places. And it's rare. Was this meant to have a sac in the activation cost?
Also-- and maybe this is just the way my mind works-- "Humped Efreet" sounds kind of dirty, and the image it brings to mind doesn't really involve a camel...
I did not know that. Wit that information I de-powered it to only opponent's instants.
We had this discussion on another card... I'm going to remention it here. You may not realize how often spells get countered in Magic. I'm pretty sure the average player doesn't know that when all the valid targets for a spell are gone, that that spell is countered. So, if I targeted a saproling with Flame Jab, then sacrificed the saproling, the ability would trigger.
I don't know what you want to do with this information. I think the reason we haven't seen too many "Whenever a spell is countered" cards because Wizards assumes that people will get it wrong. I do think it's a shame however, since it seems like a natural trigger for blue.
I don't know what i was thinking with that power. I dropped it to 5. Sure it's got a decent effect for blue but not worth the cost which I use to weigh it down to common.
Why would you get to choose? The templating isn't perfect, but I'd have thought that "that player chooses" is pretty clear.
If they choose it's a fair bit weaker, yes. But if you choose, it's "Dragon to the face, and you can't counter attack, so I'll do it again next turn." time.
It's not much of a lockdown. Giving them the choice is huge: if they have a card that'll help they can choose to skip the draw and still cast it, if they don't then they can choose to skip the main phase and still draw.
Fatespinner does the same thing for a lot cheaper. And as jmg says, you only get this if you're hitting them for 5 a turn, and frankly at that point you're already winning.
You can't downcost it too much - it's a lockdown, in red.
I think what Vitenka means is that you need "Whenever a source you control deals...".
I must admit, this seems a bit weak. Since, in most games, players won't have more than 20 life, this card in a best case scenario will only ever hit a player 3 times. Therefore, the worst that I can imagine this card doing is forcing the opponent to skip three draw steps... and, quite frankly, Fugue is arguably better than that. I don't think the card is bad, per se, but I'd drop it to
, or make it a creature.
Edit: Oh, hold it. I assume you mean that they skip their "next" draw step or main step, right? Otherwise, this card went from underpowered to super-happy-fun-time-good.
Who chooses which phase they skip? The intent of gaining control of the enchantment is plain; but the wording needs work (since unless you resort to "And in response {headbutt}" players don't generally deal damage.)
7-power flyers at common? o.O
I don't think even blue has got a 2-power flyer without a drawback. Perhaps you could argue Carnivorous Death-Parrot doesn't really have a drawback. Certainly it's a bit eye-opening to see red get one. It seems better than a number of historical cards like Gossamer Phantasm or Welkin Tern, but the extra coloured mana symbol does count for a lot.
So for all that, it's probably actually pretty fair power-level-wise.
That seems better. I think there's not enough difference between

and

to make it worth the extra confusion of the hybrid symbol; I'd go with just the Vindicate cost. I like this, though: an instant-speed Vindicate is fantastic, but that'll sometimes be an interesting restriction to meet.
