What is wrong about using this with a storm card?
Yeah... I think in cube sets it'd be simpler if people could use either "no rarity" or just "rare", even though the rarity field is generally ignored, because I do also find myself looking at a card and going "Nice, but no way it's common" before I glance up at the cardset name and go "wait... no, it's okay, it's a cuuuube, it's not really common".
Cuuuuube!
But ok. Cube.
Cube :)
Yes; it works out fine. It gives a lesser effect copying an opponents spell, and the bigger effect if you plan it and use it yourself - and also nicely hints that you're not supposed to use it with storm. I like it.
But yow; Zap. And to follow - ZapZAP. Punchy! No WAY this should be common. Rare. Mayyybe uncommon.
I thought you had realized that and done it one purpose.
.... that's a really good point and i feel stupid. i mean i guess you could be using to target an opponent's spell, but... oops
how often is it NOT the second spell you cast, given the nature of this spell?
I've always thought of Reverberate as a red Counterspell that I'll probably never use.
Double Fork for only one more? Sign me up! It's been too long since games were decided with a turn four Lightning Bolt.
I love the art.
Alright, point taken
I only have an iPod touch at the moment so I'm not gonna do the tedious editing of changing these back. But I will as soon as I regain computer access
I know this is a bit niche, I'm going to build in the support though.
I meant to change the cost the first time around but I guess I forgot!
I know removal is a thing, but two bodies with 4 first-strike power is definitely going to hold small aggresive creatures.
Plus, I like that white gets the 1/1 for one in a cycle/mirrored pair/whatever.
But Twincast and Reverberate are very situational. I approve reducing the cost until they are easy to play because they always be difficult to play.
That said, copying your own spell seems a very easy way to trigger synchronize, so just for that you could try .
This is now so much better than Twincast and Reverberate. It should definitely cost more.
The only issue with that is that it makes it useless for the vast majority of articacts, unlike Etherium Sculptor.
My group hug EDH decks would love this cycle.
I agree with the other comments, but I also like the new version. If it's too weak, it could "draw, then discard" or something similar? Wizards have printed a lot of very strong dual lands, but I'm interested in something stronger than gates and weaker than shocklands.
Yeah, that sounds fine to me. Boros Recruit was never especially exciting, and Tundra Wolves is a low pick even in a normal set. But two 1/1 first strikers for is a pretty nice deal (compare Raise the Alarm). So it'll be a mid-level pick for red-white or a late pick for mono-white.
Alternatively, you could make it 2/2 first strike for , recruit (or ). That's more exciting for both white and white-red.
Yeah, don't feel bad about parallel design. It's inevitable when you hang around in any custom-Magic-cards community for any length of time.
The card really wants to be played with Blinking Spirit-type cards, that's for sure. I'd be wary of the flicker effects in this cube, but I guess the end result is just a removal spell for cheap.
These issues, especially where is white's removal supposed to be, are very vague, so it depends on you.
That's cool.
I obviously like my design, so since yours is the same, I like it, too. And I think the current version is too prohibitive (maybe if it added a mana of any color?). So, yes, it would be better to change it back. :)
That's a start.
