yeah, realized it was pretty crap. Any alternative I had was too wordy though.
I edited my original post, how about the alternative?
Doesn't seem great to me, precisely because it doesn't work like a shield. I'd expect a reflection of the Protoss shields to be some kind of toughness-pump, regeneration or damage prevention effect. As you say, yours works more like +1/+0 than +0/+1.
Wow, I haven't touched this in a while. Might pick it up again and try to make everything new world-ordery. Remove ninjutsu and morph, for one. For anyone looking into the comments, is this ability intuitive enough?
Zealot

Creature - Protoss [C]
Shielded (This enters the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter on it. Whenever this is dealt damage, remove all +1/+1 counters from it.)
2/2
Eh. Basically it allows the creature to hit harder once to creatures, or keep smashing face to players. Power level is somewhere between +1/+0 and +1/+1. It also synergizes with Protoss blinking (exile, return to battlefield) effects. My biggest concern is that it doesn't act like a shield (it doesn't prevent damage). To do this, the counter can disappear after damage has been cleaned up for the turn... but that isn't intuitive at all.
Edit: the alternative is to have a new type of counter. But the question is, does it make intuitive sense to have a keyword that, by itself, does nothing?
Zealot

, Remove a psi counter from ~: Regenerate ~.
Creature - Protoss [C]
Psionic (This enters the battlefield with a psi counter on it.)
2/2
Reaver

, Remove a psi counter from ~: ~ gets +4/+0 until end of turn.
Artifact Creature - Protoss [C]
Psionic (This enters the battlefield with a psi counter on it.)
0/4
Thoughts? :)
@Visitor: Yeah, this one doesn't have a nice render, because noyahuid has changed it slightly since the last time he uploaded pictures, I think.
Technically landwalk can only refer to sub- and supertypes of lands, not their state, but I really like this card.
is it just me or is there no pictures
While we're on the subject, I should probably stick my head in here and mention that most 2CMC "mana stones" were equivalent to lands. Wizards hasn't printed any since Timespiral. (Though I might have missed one or two) and don't seem to plan to print any more for a while, if you follow Latest Developments. My best guess is that they were too ubiquitous, popping up in 70% or so of all tournament decks, thus devaluing a lot of other 2-drops. That's a strange power-level issue... they clearly aren't broken... they just add less variability to decks to beat.
Absolutely: the equivalence between Prismatic Lens and Shimmering Grotto, or Selesnya Signet and Sungrass Prairie, is very interesting. I agree a Mind Stone at rare could be OK, but I have a hunch that tapping for coloured mana is too much of a boost, even when counteracted by ETBT.
common -> uncommon
Strange that we haven't seen a vigilance tim yet. We probably will in Gatecrash. Might change though, I don't really like a Firebat that isn't mono-red.
A bit boring at this point, but a dragon is a dragon is a dragon. For serious scrutiny.
WU -> 1WU
2WW -> 3WW
added reminder text. May not be needed, but meh.
WU -> 1W. Potentially overpowered at common.
Is this difficult to understand? Is there a better ability that can be used instead?
