before: Restoration: Untap target permanent and destroy all auras attached to it.
This unit is probably the one that causes the most "huh, i don't get the flavor" responses, now I copied Alex's second reaver. Hopefully now it feels like the unit.
previous:
: Untap another target permanent you control.
Part of the Planeswalker trifecta. The only two-casting cost Planeswalker other than poor Tibalt, with his +1 even echoing the guy's own.
+1 ability helps with salvage. -2 is generic. -3 feels like an homage to Elspeth, Sun's Champion ability, but means so much more with this deck's numerous morph creatures.
But still, I don't know how to judge power levels, especially for two-mana planeswalkers. Is this guy any good?
Playtest results: Depowered the ultimate, changing it from -4 to -5. Otherwise, it's too easy to just drop him and control the board state until he can Plague Wind the other side of the board.
changed to planeswalker.
Better picture.
unchanged.
This was previously Psistorm. However, for such a landmark ability, it's strange that there's no good artwork. This is the most epic art I have and I think it's fitting, though "purifier beam" is just the name of the Mothership weapon and isn't really in the game.
Now it's a one-sided Balance -ish thing, devastating against Zerg and plays well with how few Protoss creatures there are (plus their propensity to be bounced). Without creatures, it's a Day of Judgment variant. Of course, it could also do nothing.
How's the power level of this thing?
Playtest results: Ah. Fantastic card. Originally thought of bumping up the cost and giving it cycling, but it plays fine as is. The interseting thing about it is if you're facing a Protoss player, you can generally get a feel of whether this card is in his/her hand or not. Then again, he could be bluffing. Really, power level questions aside, this is an excellent card.
previous: "Psionic Storm", XWW, Destroy all creatures with converted mana cost X.
Changed name to "Protoss Probe", to avoid conflict with Probe.
previous: "Probe"
previous: Flying // Zerg creature spells you cast cost
less to cast.
It's like a white... punisher... Standstill... Thoughtseize... something. I don't know. I've never seen a card like this before so I can't judge the power levels. Alex?
Playtest results: So... this is powerful. Like, really powerful. It's not even subtle. the strength lies in the fact that it comes down turn ONE and lasts FOREVER. Control decks will run four of these and make life a living hell for the other guy.
Thinking of making this
and making (((Warp Gate))) the W, maybe adding another psi counter to it.
Previously "Observer": When ~ enters the battlefield, look at target player's hand, then name a nonland card. // Whenever an opponent casts the named card, draw two cards. 1/1
previously: Nonbasic landwalk // Tap an untapped creature you control: ~ gets +1/+1 until end of turn.
