This is a
in my MSE set, it's a typo here. Thanks
From playtesting, this is fine in this set - annihilator is useless against Zerg 1/1 counters, and Protoss has many ways to counter or disable it. I agree it's pushed for a real set though.
updated creature type
thanks. did they change Cathedral Membrane's oracle? I swear I checked it a year or two ago and it wasn't like that.
Baleful Strix is powerful because of the cantrip. As a one-for-one, this is fine, both theoretically and in testing.
All card arts are credited in the full-art versions of the cards. MTG reprints are: Scourge, Photon Cannon, this version of Vortex (new one has different art), Changeling, Spawn Broodling, thsi version of Evolution Chamber, Forest-6.
If there are multiple cards using existing art, that's probably intentional. You should credit the artists, though
Just chiming it to say that this is technically the art of an existing Magic card. Specifically, Plague Stinger. That might not matter to you, but if it does, and you didn't know, then now you do.
Looking through the card art in this set, I also noticed that (((Spine Crawler))) was art from Blitz Hellion. Just in case it mattered.
Another strong card. Comparable cards would be Fetid Imp ("meh"), Deadly Recluse ("pretty good / not bad"), and Baleful Strix ("disgustingly powerful").
Reminds me of Treetop Village and Mishra's Factory / Mutavault. A very strong card that I would certainly use instead of Treetop Village (3 power is low enough that the trample hardly matters).
This seems quite disgusting once it gets going and you steamroll your opponent. Currently the cheapest card with annihilator has a CMC of 8. This puts both Deus of Calamity and Akki Underminer into shame as well.
A very strong card considering that Putrefy is a fan favorite with a zillion printings (and regeneration is extremely rare).
Wouldn't "spawn 2" sound better as "spawn twice" or "spawn, then spawn again"? Sarah Kerrigan with spawn 3 seems to be the largest amount of spawning. "Spawn three times" would work well there.
This seems to be missing creature types.
"Dies during combat" should suffice - see Cathedral Membrane.
