I hope this accurately represents that the more creatures you have / the bigger your base, the more easily the changeling can "sneak in" since your attention is probably divided among the other creatures.
In terms of power level, it seems very very high. I'm thinking of making it a 0/1 instead, something this powerful should not be allowed to trade with anything. Wording is awkward though, too many instances of "block"
~ can't be blocked unless...
whenever ~ attacks and isn't blocked...
previously: whenever ~ deals combat damage to a player... // ~ can't be blocked unless defending player pays for each creature he or she controls.
Playtest results: for each creature defending player controls is WAAAY too powerful, practically unblockable. Unblockability depending on # attacking creatuers is still flavorful (defending player too busy to defend against attacks to notice changeling slipping in) and gives interesting strategic decisions to the attacker.
Made 0/1 from 1/1, partly for power levels but mostly for flavor.
fixed creature type -> Shapeshifter
each attacking creature -> each other attacking creature
Before:
Changeling
~ can't be blocked unless defending player pays for each other attacking creature.
Whenever Changeling attacks and isn't blocked, you draw a card and lose 1 life.
0/1
"defending player pays 3" -> Defending player pays 2
1/1 -> 0/1, unblocked attack
