One possible alternate wording that avoids the drawn games:
: Destroy all creatures with flying.
But that would allow the controller to keep flyers, which feels against the spirit of the thing.
I think it's probably okay. It's similar to Ashling in effect, but it's better with grantable-ping and worse against damage-prevention. It's rarer, less legendary, less P/T, but better in combat. Different enough to be printed, I think.
Might be better at 3 or 5 CMC rather than 4, though.
On the other hand, if this card doesn't even work against instant-speed artifact destruction, people may conclude it's just pointless and not play it.
Yay, cool. That's what I was hoping for.
I like the funky wording right now. Gives me a little mini-game to make sure I kill a creature with only first strike damage, so that my creature doesn't die.
That's another sensible suggestion, although it works rather more oddly with noncombat damage (such as from Heavy Arbalest) than the current way does. I used to have a deck with Lowland Basilisk + Hermetic Study: the pinged creature would die at the end of the next time there was an end-of-combat step... which could be several turns down the line!
The point is that deathtouch is an anti-combo with evasion abilities. I think all your suggestions still suffer from that.
I'm thinking it might not be such a problem though. They don't particularly synergise, but you could phrase the effects as (a) make me harder to block, and (b) make it worse for you even if you do manage to block.
how about "deals damage sacrifice it at the end of the combat phase"??? gets around the double strike issue quite cleanly.
"is dealt" -> "deals for the second time"
Heh. "Whenever equipped creature deals damage" is awesome, but it makes the double strike somewhat less useful, as it'll die after first-strike damage and before normal damage... :) "Whenever equipped creature deals damage for the second time in a turn", perhaps? It's somewhat fiddly wording - no longer anywhere near as simple as it currently is - but a bit more fun for Johnny...
Taking it down to +1/+0 is definitely one reasonable option. I'll see if I can come up with any others.
Trying it with what is perhaps the simplest possible green effect (other than "add
", I guess). I'm conscious that power is used a lot to pump P/T, but pumping target creature there's only Voltaic Shamble Engine. We may be heading a little close to Pedal-Crank Wings; I might need to change that to do something other than pump power.

That is actually a very good suggestion. When trying to flavour it, I'm finding it keeps turning into an artifact-animator instead - and that's something else that green does in this set. So perhaps I condense this with UG01 Apprentice Animator. Biggest problem with that is I really don't think activated animation is common.

It looks good. Unfortunately, it looks like you gave the links to your cards the gatherer brackets [x3 --]x3 rather than the set ones (x3 --)x3 as they try to take you to gatherer :)
I wanted another very cheap flying artifact creature, to go with Wing Commander / Fickle Pilot etc and also Nouveau Riche etc, in common. I think this manages to be common while also working as a nice hub in draft: if you get a couple of these, you might be a bit more inclined to pick up a useful Equipment or Connector or two.
How about "Whenever equipped creature deals damage, destroy it." ??? The cannon is so overcharged that the equipped creature gets caught in the backblast and fried?? (brings up very goblinesque imagery this way)
Heck dropping it to +1/+0 and Double Strike still makes it potent (2 dam extra total rather than 4) and could then possibly justify the drawback as is.

You could always change the Intimidate to Swampwalk - less useful than Intimidate but would make Deathtouch more useful. Or as more of a mirror +2/+2 Deathtouch and can't be blocked by flying creatures doesn't give the 2 keyword mirror but makes the abilities mirror nicely.???
I guess lifelink is black as well; I could replace deathtouch with lifelink? That'd then make these two extremely similar, though.
