But Glimpse of Nature isn't already in the same color as Hurkyl's Recall or Retract.
Yowch, indeed. Do you think this is undercosted/overpowered? I'm inclined to say not because Glimpse of Nature already allows most of the crazy things this does, because Ornithopter and Memnite are both types.
Or Storm combo...
See Glimpse of Nature. I toyed with "noncreature", but this as it is seems plenty strong enough. This could go into decks like the current tournament Kuldotha Red or Weenie Quest.
It would also still be possible to tweak the power signet cycle to take pain on producing power rather than washing power into mana: I agree the other way emphasises the power-production better, and that it might not solve the problem long-term, but it might be just enough to prevent the infinite combo.
It would be nice if I could keep this as a connector. One other idea beyond "untap connected artifact" as an effect it makes sense to poly-activate is "put a charge counter on connected artifact". I have barely any artifacts that use charge counters as the moment, though, so this would either be pointless in this set, or need me to change several other cards. (Scars of Mirrodin had 14 charge-counter artifacts, including 4 commons, and 6 uncommons including a 5-card cycle. Mirrodin Besieged had 3. Original Mirrodin only had 4 uncommons and 4 rares, even though it had Power Conduit; Darksteel had 8 and Coretapper; Fifth Dawn had 8 and Energy Chamber.)
This was quite irritating in playtesting: an artifact that just keeps pinging the opponent for 1-2 a turn. Upped the cost a bit, by comparison with Orzhova, the Church of Deals. Keeping an eye on it.
activation cost
->

Actually, this may be most interesting if it's not itself an artifact. So it's still good in an artifact deck because it digs up artifact cards, but doesn't actually self-synergise like that. That seems a bit safer and saner.
This is still a moderately irritating blocker. It should perhaps change from being 1/3 for
to being 2/2 for
or 1/2 for
.
This is very good. May want to be 5 mana.
4X -> 3X
Needing two artifacts to get an 8/8 for 6 didn't feel like enough hoops. Trying at 3X/3X, so two artifacts make it a 6/6, three or more make it a 9/9 or bigger.
This is quite a strong ability - consider making 1/1.
This got used along with a couple of Beam-Focus Relic and some other Radiation source to deal 16 damage. It's pretty strong, but it is a rare Dragon-a-like. I don't yet think it's too strong, but I'll give it some more testing.
