Anybody can jump in at any time to correct me, but this pair looks far too powerful. It's above curve, not to mention creatures don't usually get this level of power, even if not repeatable.
They are also just convoluted instants with a weenie body
for 3 dmg @ semi-sorcery speed isnt too strong, right? same w/ crippler. There are spells like Grasp of Darkness that are WAY better, and faster. These both are slow removal/burn and I think tapping just makes them crappy bulk. I want them to at least be CONSIDERED in a deck. (tapping means next turn you get effect, but w/ this mana its more flexible, on your turn or later if you have the 1 mana.) dang, this isnt even searing spear or lightning strike. I think the paying of mana balances them being 1 drops, and i don't think they need to tap. That's a lot of symbols for a simple card, and they look fine to me. I would just remove cost if adding tapping or vice versa. This works for me and I'm pretty sure it doesn't break rules, of which there are too many. Still, if tapping is 100% necessary I can add it, but I think the cards are more fun and flexible this way. They also work in a nice way, because they do not have synergies with the TAP value in this set. That way they feel rather seperate, which I think matters a little.
That's my excruciatingly written defense on why Sizzler and Crippler should not have in their text box, I dont feel so good oof. :P
ya hahahah it actually sounds silly. I wanted it to sound like "It burns you, then DIES and continues to BURN you" but it sounds like 'oops! lil guy just burnt u, awww hes melting hehehe cute.' how fix? (its in a cycle w/ Crippler and I need the flavortext to sync up)
It is actually quite strong, the once per turn thingy had me sad i couldnt abuse my token decks with it, which would be incredibly broken now that i think about it, so that restriction was a smart call.
realising this could alternatively not just be in a monoblue deck but an azorius deck is also very exciting
i fully agree with everything in your statement and have changed my approach on the card
That's very interesting ramp. maybe add a its still a creature to increase usefullness to you, easiness to remove and to make it a reverse animate effect?
This if anything is an edh card. But I made it knowing that it can abuse two things: Enter The Battlefield abilities, and Card Draw.
True, this is only good in a specific type of deck. But that is a deck that has A LOT of support, and many powerful effects. This can A) save your dudes from removal or dmg. (combat trick) B) Get you more ETB abilities from recast (Value) and DRAW CARDS!!
If you ask me, I would call this an engine that can lead you to victory in a very short time. True, it doesn't win the game by itself, but with just a LITTLE support you can sift thru your deck and abuse some amazing effects from other cards. The once per turn thing is only there because otherwise, ti would be close to a bannable vintage card (imo, i could be wrong) it seem s like that at first, but in fact is potent and I think the best 'sleeper' in the set. I see your point though. Hope this shows you a different side of the card, and how it could in fact be really strong and win games.

does it have ti tap? I think that makes the card pretty bad. :(
dont forget tap.
that text shows that it can still be black, and feel evil
For your matching that you said you wanted on Sizzler
Not only does it break your bones, but it does not hold the strength to finish the job
fix the actual text and adding a tap symbol is on the list too.
as for the text, do that. If you need it to be exact, "Not only does it burn your skin to the bone, it dies and continues your anguish"
:*
can do.
also I am terrified by the idea of somrthing dying on my lap and melting into a creppy puddle AAGH uurrgghh I dont like it now.
