Seems alright. The indestructible might be given out a bit easy, but at rare i suppose it's fine. Also the +1/+1 could have a limit, but that would make the card less aesthetically pleasing. Maybe start off as a 2/2?
Also, maybe another untapped creature you control would be the proper wording?
exactly. I wrote it like this, because the set has "tap" value. See Night Market Lookout. In the case of Kaladesh, that was for crew purposes. This card is somewhat different, but similar. 1/2 is a good idea. I will do that.
I suggest saving this by giving it flash. Too much? Use haste instead. Both are available in black. Now I probably would in turn reduce the toughness using those keywords.
Another simple alternative would be to change the trigger condition. "At the beginning of your upkeep", "Whenever ~ attacks or blocks", "At end of combat" etc.
Mmm, matching up all the 3's is nice though. Could this be given enough utility abilities (fear -> menace seems appropriate for a grim; or deathtouch) to make up?
Looks quite underpowered tbh. With the card on its own, you're never able to deal more damage than its going deal to you - actually you are always behind since it doesn't have haste or anything like that and the trigger is your end step. 3 life per turn is a harsh payment.
For example, Carnophage is 'nice'(twice the damage) while Sangrophage(1.5 times the damage) is quite weak and that card is a lot more powerful than this.
Flesh Reaver is more akin to the card you're looking for though even it doesn't damage you when it isn't doing anything (ie. is in 'block duty').
You know what, looking back on our conversation, I think you are right about this card. I am going to edit the design. This should definitely search deck not hand. Edit incoming.
:)
Yes, it should say another untapped creature.
get banned lol
Can this site disown me for that comment?
It's fine how it is. I just think it's a really Jumpscarey name
Like a jeeper creeper looking at you thru the window!
Or a minecraft green-boi blowing up your house!

This could be a tyrant, like Kumena, Tyrant of Orazca or my personal card: Jahn Gatlis, Underworld Overlord
flavorful? do you mean like a jumpscare? that would be funny, not necessary on an aggro creature tho. He already has haste.
This would be super flavorful with Flash, maybe i'm just really excited to see black start to get it ;0

changed stats added haste, and lowered life loss trigger
yes, haste would be quite good. Maybe even making it have 4 power. I will do a quick edit to the stats.

Lovely name though!

Peacekeeper obviously plays better with convoke etc. Which seems the point. After all attacking isn't really "keeping the peace", is it?
I guess the best argument for 1/2 is that you could have instead played Nip Gwyllion, or one of the many other 1/1 lifelinkers for one mana.
Well, drop a bigger threat so they have to ignore you gaining a little life on the side. But yeah, kinda limited when anything will eat it.
1/2? I'd love to see this guy turn sideways after round 1.
ok can do.
Busted - I would recommend a mana cost of + or so. Thieving Magpie is still a fine card.

Very neat
Nice card. Surprisingly you didn't have one of these yet!
