This card falls under the 'strictly better Forest' category. Incidentally missing the basic type is not seen as a factor when determining that. The reasons not to run this card over a basic Forest card are too minor. It should have a drawback of some sorts.

Funny-lands need to go at common in sets like Zendikar, which are land-focused. And if you have a whole load of them (Ravnica had, what, two full cycles of ten?) then common's a good place.
It's unusual to put lands at common, but it's certainly legal, if you have a good reason.

many lands are common like both Zendikar blocks hae a common cycle, and the bounce lands on ravnica. Im pretty sure gates are common too. There are aslo the Tarkir block common gainlands (i think theyre called taht) and more, but thats all i know rn. I just need a common man, plz? just 1 common??? help a brothur out? cmon just 1 common?

Solid enough bulk. Doesnt really feel bloody, but i've got nothing better for common.

The flavor text is slightly long, maybe make less then and then and then and just condense it a little? it's a large build up, but the end is good, just could be shorter :)

for example: As the battle continued, the pool of blood grew larger until a monster rose from it's bubbling center. Neither army won the battle that day, the monster did.

I guess it's all fine.

I'm pretty sure logically they aren't a problem, it just shocked me to see such a cheap removal on a creature. and i didnt know crazy shit like grasp existed. I also thought for some reason creatures could be cast at instant speed.

That last point about archtypes is important, except red black isnt relevant to that type as it's already tricolor and no support for these ones. Tapping is so basic, not having it so other cards can be really good at it is foolish to me. Making this tap would be bad for that.

i think you're fine to do both just like this. Try my new flavor text on for size, howbotit?
