Hmm. Tough one. It's not really exciting enough to be rare; but it is weirdly "thing this colour doesn't get to do much" which would seem to push the rarity up a bit. Seems too wordy to be a modern day common; not to mention the hopp-jump.
I'd not be surprised to see this as a rare, but I wouldn't like it. Probably uncommon; but there's just no space at uncommon for jank like this.
Oh, yes. There's also "Gain life equal to their combined power and their combined toughness." That might help you achieve a good middle ground. I mean, if you sacrifice two Shivan Dragons, maybe you deserve that 20 life.
I also see what you mean with the red thing, this doesn't seem like a break, but a bend, mostly by allowing it to be cast with any mana, makes it a bit more blue. or maybe i just havent seen red do that yet
I like the sacrifice theme to go with Demented Wildlife, but sacrificing two creatures just to gain some life is probably not going to be worth it - it's akin to a three card investment.
Except to be an actual combat trick this would need flash.
That said as a mere ETB enabler/temporary removal this seems okay already at common without flash. I really like it as it is already. All you need is a good target at uncommon e. g. Cloudblazer and you've got the basics for an archetype.
One thing this could do in the set as it is, is turn on the Agonizer you've got on the battlefield.
Yeah,a one-shot flicker is a lot safer than a continual blink. It not having haste is going to limit its usefulness; meaning it's only really useful for agression and resetting counters. The former is a bit more attacky than white usually does, but I don't see it as a particular problem.

okay. well what rarity should it be?
For fourteen mana and three cards?
White can gain you 40 for that much mana in two cards (Heroes Remembered + Boon Reflection).
This card doesn't try to be a common anymore anyway.
Wow; now a couple of shivans gains you 40 life. Who knew was the best lifegain colour?
And as the jmgariepy spoke, it was

To be honest, I like the two creature restriction. Makes the card feel unique and gives you an interesting hoop to jump through.
Maybe twice their combined toughness? Alternatively, this could just be a bad common. Those still exist.
true. Maybe it could be: Sacrifice any number of creatures, then gain life to twice their combined toughenss? maybe make it cost

yeah, maybe just artifacts?
Thank you. In my other set, Biologica i plan to expand on archetypes like this in just that way
i'll make it more white, there is no reason this cannot fly
exactly. thank you.
Eh; it aint great, but at instant speed you can at least sacrifice stuff that's about to die anyway.

I'd call this just red's "temporary draw" ability using the graveyard rather than exile. Should this be blue? Blurring the lines?
I think it's a fine card. As an artificer maybe it shouldn't be able to cast just anything?
This is cool. I'd be looking in black and green for ways to put this thing out of its misery. :)
Independent of color, I'd rather make that "put three +1/+1 counters on ~." rather than setting the p/t to a static value without markers.
Right now being a groundpounder that can grow really large this feels just not right in white.
If you went down on the size a bit and made it a flier, I could see this in white e. g. a 2/3 for that turns into a 5/6, maybe?
Another approach is to just keep the Agonizer at its size and create a second body in form of a 4/3 white Horror token.
The bodies still would be a bit atypical, but closer.

The flavor text and name can be changed.
i guess this shouldn't be uncommon. but that means I'll have to put the others up to rare, ugh.
I guess I want something that releases a bunch of killers that cant hurt white people.
Dunno, set the unworthy on your foes?
But I geuss the intended meaning here is setting the souls free. Which just incidentally, well, kills them.
Mass Calcify reprint. Fair enough. But at uncommon?
(Also, "unleash" doesn't seem like quite the right word here. That means "Set the unworthy free", which I don't think is what you were going for?)
i see this sort of as a combat trick on a stick (ooh trikonastik)

Yea, magic suprises me a lot with what is allowed and what isn't it. i guess power creep hits certain areas harder than others.
i do like that ability. but i don't think it would synergize with the socalled agony effect :P
