Counter proposal: Watchful Deputy.
Yes, that's what I thought at first, but it was weird designing a sorcery that would "pacifism" a creature, so this was the next best solution.
But do they have to be? They are mainly just green mechanics brought together, they don't need a connection to become a Choose One card
These modes are connected by nothing but a glue-gun's rampage.
"Enchant creature"?
It seems weird to have the Aura sit around and do nothing.
Note: Choices written like this are made during the casting of the spell rather than during resolution - which is unusual for punisher effects (compare the above-mentioned Choice of Damnations).
I'm almost certain though that targets are still chosen as you cast the spell, but after choosing modes, so the timing on this is impossible...
I don't see an issue with a raven - after all it's "Raven-ous Rats"! :)
So Vandal is now a creature type? It's certainly novel.

Huh, it's a flying Ravenous Rats. Should it be a pigeon instead of a raven? Though you do lose the 'murder of' pun that way.

Quite close to Barbed Lightning.
Ok. Sounds fine.
I think this is fine in
, it was more of an observation rather than a complaint.
While I agree with your assessment historically, red in my set will usually be offering your opponent choices, rather than giving you choices. Do you have another idea for it's effects, rather than sacrifice?
Choice of Damnations, Liliana of the Veil, Curse of the Cabal, etc...
While punisher effects usually are
, this particular mix of effects has a consistent history in
