I think this is a cool way to do the creature land thing. Does it need to be rare though given its power level compared to Wild Conjuration (which merely ETB with a fixed a mount of +1/+1 counters equal to your Discovery)? Or would it be better to have this put +1/+1 counters equal to your Discovery on the land like Wild Conjuration?

Having a fixed p/t is less powerful, although this does interact with land destruction/removal. I was think of changing Wild Conjuration to the version that made it power and toughness equal to your discovery, so maybe this could put +1/+1 counters on the land?

fixed some wording 'elemental > Elemental' 'that's still a land > It's still a land' unified with other animating land effects

Yea, I actually feel like Wild Conjuration is a little underwhelming for a rare. Tacking trample on it helped a little. But as an early drop it's weak.

To compare this to Ensoul Artifact, this has the benefit of not requiring you to actually pay mana to cast the permanent you're enchanting. But it costs 1 more and isn't an automatic 5/5 creature.

I think it'd be wise to change Wild Conjuration to P/T = Discovery and change this to add +1/+1 counters.

Changed it to add +1/+1 counters instead.

This actually seems pretty weak. Couldn't really on this to give more than 4/4 on average, and you need to keep tapping your lands to use it. Could cost {u}{g} easily I reckon.

Yea, I was just thinking about it, and the new version is over-costed. I'll change it to UG.

Lowered the cost by 1, since the new version only adds +1/+1 counters.

Had the colors in the mana cost reversed for some dumb reason.

I'm actually having 2nd thoughts about this adding +1/+1 counters instead of just turning the land into a creature with P/T equal to your Discovery. Especially as an early drop it's weak, likely giving you little more than a 2/2 creature land.

Comparing to Ensoul Artifact, which turns an artifact into a 5/5 creature for 2 mana, even if this is switched back to turn a land into an X/X creature with X = Discovery, it'll take time to have the same impact and reach 5/5 or more. But at least it'd have a chance to. If it potentially being able to make a land more than a 5/5 creature is a concern, we could just scrap the discovery part and make it turn a land into a fixed 5/5 creature.

I like the counter version more, especially because you already pay hommage to "Awaken" in the name. Only problem I see is that the counter theme is in another colour combination, so maybe change that.

If this needs to be beefed up to become a rare it could add Unbound. as well. Would also make the colors feel right.

separate triggered and static ability, added haste

Since this appears to be competing with Emori Craftmaster, and I quite like that card as well, but I still want this idea to be used, is there any way this could be made into a mono-green card?

Changed to mono-green and added to skeleton.
