For this card, transforming represents the bipolar nature of his mind.
Yep, that's just what Dominating Licid was as well.
Might need to be quite a bit more expensive and/or rarer, though. This is a very powerful effect.
Flip side should be named "Illicid control" Scary unkillable blocker that throws your other creatures in each others way. argh.

I hadn't realized it wasn't an actual stag. Now that you've explained it, your idea makes a lot more sense.
It is an elemental. It's also made of wood and plants. It just takes the form of a stag.
Anyway, I can like the tree too. It would certainly make pretty card art.
If the sun is in a tree or plant of some sort, it makes more sense that the sentient plants worship it. Also, a tree can become giant, fitting a large "star" inside. A stag, unless it's an elemental or something, would carry a very small sun.
So you prefer the idea of the sun in a tree? I'm rather enamored with the idea of it being a stag, but I could change.
The closest precedent for the Fields' ability is Valleymaker. The idea of a plant that produced mana originated in the discussions about how the green faction in the community set worships the sun, which is located within a plant (since the sky is blocked). The flavor is that when enough Sunflowers get together, the whole area becomes a massive mana source.
As for the card, I like it. It seems a good use of one of the few DFCs that can't transform without outside help.
Ha. Reminds me of when I was writing a sci-fi story in which a gigantic supernova featured. The technical term is "hypernova", but I avoided it because it just sounds like a silly variant on "supernova" that I just made up :P
Charizard uses a Fire Spin attack!
It's Mega-Colossal!!!
Based on jmgariepy's idea. I'm considering making it a legendary land. And yes, "mega-colossal" is the technical term for the largest type of volcanic explosion. :)
The rest of my Licids include . I just forgot it on this one. I don't want to make the reverse ability a ability. The original Licids didn't even have that as a separate ability; they were just "You may pay to end this effect." That couldn't even be Stifled, but these can.
