Allowing this in multiplayer isn't just "This card that looks useless actually has a good use" it is "This card is useless except in this other format where it is ridiculously broken."

Very not a fan of cards like that. Unless it really IS intended to be an emblem? In which case it needs to cost more, since it's a serious strategy hoser. (You're not burn or mill? You lose.) Would fit the flavour better though.

Hmm. Vitenka's suggestion should be compared to Turn the Tables. I think it's also interesting that WotC thought Turn the Tables should be rare.
Are we talking "The Preacher" the comic series? Oh, yeah... The Word. Got it.
Hmm... if you're already gearing this toward multiplayer, then maybe invoking multiplayer right on the card is best. For example, if the card read "All combat damage that is dealt to you or a teammate of yours", it would be a gigantic warning sign to people who would otherwise willfully misread the card. I'm not a fan of heavy-handing things like that, but in this case it might stave off some negative responses.

At this high cost, it's probably acceptable to allow it to be cast after attackers are declared. Although then it's more a blackish card than a white one (which would prefer to flip the damage into lifegain)

I don't know if any of you are familiar with The Preacher, but I was going for a variant of Master Warcraft. I'm a little strung out on how to do that though. Maybe, all damage dealt to creatures you control is dealt to creatures target opponent controls instead.

I chose target opponent because I was gearing this card towards multi-player.

I definitely see applications for this card, and understand why it was costed this way. I assume, however, that those who don't see applications for this card will fall into two camps:
Those that will complain how this card in a very over-costed Holy Day. And,
Those that will play with the card, expecting to gain a ton of life, then finding out that, no, that's not how the card works.
I'd expect both of those players to hate the card. Like, hate hate the card. I don't like to pull out the "I'm a game reviewer and that's why such and such a thing is right or wrong" hat, because it's in poor taste. As far as I'm concerned, my opinion is just as valid as everyone else's around here. But, I've played numerous types of games with lots of people of various play skill, and I can tell you that both those bullet marks happen quite often. If it doesn't bug you that newer players will have a different experience than the one you would have with this card, then it's not a big deal. If you don't want to let down those players, though, you probably need to toy with this a little more. Maybe find a way to make it so that something must attack, or remove the timing restriction and have it target one creature, or have it operate more like Eye for an Eye in which both players are hit... or something else.
