I resolved the issue by toggling the use of "Active" status in the card set.
Keeping the bug report open since the underlying software issue has not been resolved.
Yeah; concur; I also see at this time that the set has at least one active card, but the visual spoiler says not.
This shows "Showing 0 active cards, of 10 total"
While this corresponding front page shows "11 cards in Multiverse " and the cardlist verifies that about half of them are active.
(No images yet, but will provide if the error cannot be reproduced, though this comment suggests it does not only occur for me. Really the image would not look different from a visual spoiler page for a set without active cards anyway.)
I still want this!
Similar to Multiple cardset admins or Grant Admin to Individuals in the intended use. I feel like it'd solve both of those issues for the time being, as long as no one abuses it by just typing in random URLs.
D'ohh. I fixed a few problems in Import Data a few months back, but I think I must have introduced this at the same time. Yes, this should certainly be fixed.
So it does. How silly. I'll fix that.
typing {?} in manacost shows as "class="mana" src="/assets/mana/large/mana_question.png" title= "
Or maybe the documentation just doesn't explain the option.
Input into Import Data form: Formatting line: "name,code,cost,supertype,cardtype,subtype,rarity,rulestext,flavourtext,power,toughness,artist,art_url,image_url,frame,active"
Character-separated data:""Hottest Gearhunk","RR01","4RR","","Artifact Creature","Golem","rare","Modular 4 (This enters the battlefield with four +1/+1 counters on it. When it dies, you may put its +1/+1 counters on target artifact creature.) Haste (This creature can attack and
as soon as it comes under your control.)","","2","0","","","","Red","true""
Response: "Too many non-alphabetic characters in formatting line to deduce CSV separator character. There should only be one, but I found the following: ',','_'"
Issue seems to be: The strings "art_url" and "image_url" are valid field names, but the character '_' is expected to be used as a separator.
Workaround: Use the aliases "art" and "image"
Why it still should be fixed: I feel strongly that the export in CSV format and import in CSV format should be compatible.
I now have this problem on a new laptop. I don't know why, perhaps it's my browser (Safari). I've used at least 5 different devices before and never had this issue.
Update: It's not the browser. I'm using Chrome now and I'm still having the problem.
Ooh, that's a really good idea. Yes, I'm all for making the site easier to interoperate with MSE.
Would be useful for my tool to convert sets to MSE-SET files (and later other formats).
I can probably parse all the information I need from the HTML of the Mechanics detail page, but custom mechanics are needed to build MSE-SET files correctly.
oops! simple bug, simple fix.
So strange. I can reproduce the issue, but I have no idea why the code is doing anything different there.

Huh... this is really a duplicate of my earlier forbidden card move has unhelpful error...

happened a while back
Right now I'm looking at http://www.magicmultiverse.net/cardsets and "Community mashup set" appears in the right place for chronological order, but the "recent activity" column doesn't show the most recent card creation+comment, rather the previous one.
Is this an existing caching issue, or something I'm imagining or something else?
Ah, bother, yes, there's a recent change I made that will have been the one to cause this. Thanks for pointing out the bug. I know how to fix it.
Huh. There was something very weird going on there.
The first thing I tried did fix it for that set, but sadly that meant I wasn't able to investigate why it had happened. It's probably some quirk of cacheing that could still happen in future, so I'll leave this open.
Fancy. I can see why this makes sense with multiple card faces.
Thanks for the help!
