make the second ability -X where X is equalt o Target Creature'as toughness - that way he can only kill things if he has enough loyalty counters to get past their toughness.
I do think it's great flavor, though.
I only really liked his first ability. I've changed his middle, and I'm considering changing the last one because it feels too similar to Liliana's. However, I'm worried as to whether or not it's too good, since he could theoretically self-sacrifice to kill any creature, regardless of size. Then again, a 4 mana sorcery-speed "destroy creature" effect doesn't seem too bad.
That was indeed the inspiration.
Interesting. Like a one-shot Aurification, but much harder to remove. Splashy enough to be mythic.
I had changed her elsewhere and forgot to change her on here.
Changed some loyalties around.
Hmmm... The numbers may need tweaking. This is now a 2 turn countdown to making all your guys 8/8 tramplers. Compare with Garruk Wildspeaker, who "merely" cast Overrun for 1 turn. I think either the loyalty cost for the ultimate needs to go up, or the "8/8" in it needs to come down.
Flipped abilities.
He also turns Sheltering Ancient into a beast, if you can keep it alive past its own counters.
Yup. Originally was "all creatures are 5/5," but that's now to similar to Selya, Life Weaver's ultimate.
It also owns deathtouch creatures.
Originally, it was "Whenever a player casts a spell," but that just seemed too frustrating.
Thanks. I don't know why I didn't catch that.
Templating note: You don't need to "reveal" a card that you're about to put on the battlefield, so you can save a line there. -3 feels a bit steep to dig up a land: you're using a 5-mana mythic as one half of the 4-mana common Reap and Sow. I'd make that -1.
The ultimate is now very cool though.
Reminiscent of Eladamri's Vineyard or Shizuko, Caller of Autumn.
Ha! Like Caltrops or Powerstone Minefield, but with the "AND YOU WILL" rider. I think players would enjoy this :) Good with Inflame.
Good with Venser, Shaper Savant. And Cloud of Faeries and other such things. I have a Venser deck that'd like this. Reminiscent of Sunken Hope.
Interesting. No targeting the opponent's stuff - at all - for anyone. This'd more conventionally say "All other permanents", like Privileged Position.
Shroud and protection don't go together very well though. Protection already prevents a lot of targeting, and protection from two colours is plenty enough "leave me alone" without adding shroud as well. A white or red deck with lots of targeted removal is going to feel like this had protection from all colours, not just blue and black.
Wow. Pleasingly harsh ability. Never has Helium Squirter been so lethal :P One point: the P/T is way too low for a mythic. Generally mythic creatures are "square stats" (P and T equal to CMC), no matter how good the ability is. There can be exceptions, but I think for a guy as fiddly to cast as this one, 4/4 would be fine. Or 3/3 for .
