See Horror.
I guess alternatively it could say something like "Each time a player pays any amount of mana this way, create a 0/3 colorless Wall artifact creature token with defender at end of combat."
This is what I get for stepping away from Magic for so long.
I don't think this trigger works. It triggers when a creature attacks, which means nothing has been blocked yet. "Whenever a creature attacks you and isn't blocked" triggers during the declare blockers step and includes all the conditions
I'm not sure if it's obvious that you can't block with the tokens you just made
Was "whenever a creature isn't blocked," therefore triggering on every creature. Also previously created the Wall tapped. Reduced cost by .
Probably. Actually, it should probably exile itself.
Should this have reminder text that it can't return itself?
A blue moon? Do you mean a blue anthem?
There's a lot of precedent for the second ability in blue. Frost Titan and Kira, Great Glass-Spinner come to mind.
See Aurora of the Blessed.
See Aurora of the Blessed.
Feels a little odd for there to be a blue moon, even the forbidding ability feels a bit white.
See Aurora of the Blessed.
It's actually Ghostly Prison + Kazuul, Tyrant of the Cliffs adjusted for better play with planeswalkers and multiplayer group hug.
I had originally given it a cost of , and it likely deserves to go back to that. To be honest I'm not sure why it's and not .
True. Given the context of the set, it probably doesn't need to have a cantrip attached. I think my original intent was also that the set will have several anthems.
Oh, I did indeed misread it as now one-wall-total per attack.
Hey Link! Were you using No Mercy to determine how to cost this card? Because to me this looks like a No Mercy that makes a plant instead of kills a creature, but that's not as powerful, so let's add half a Propaganda. It might still be too good, I have no idea. I always thought No Mercy was overpowered, but got ignored because... Urza Block.
@Vitenka: I think you're not adding evasion to your analysis. This card keeps stacking up the plants against the Wind Drake, but can't really stop it. Nature Shields Its Own stops everything... even unblockable, untargetable creatures like Invisible Stalker.
I think Vitenka misread my edit. I only added the condition suggested by SecretInfiltrator.
Ugh, you're right. I wasn't thinking about that properly.
And thank you. :)
Looks strong in the set!
Link: Noo. The legality of targets is checked precisely twice: when you cast the spell and when it's resolving. While it's just sitting on the stack, no SBAs are checked.
Nifty card. Reminds me of Ajani's Chosen.
This is still a 0/3 per unblocked attacker. If things get through unblocked one turn, you're pretty likely to be able to block them next turn. (Unless they fly or have other evasion.) I wouldn't call this unexciting.
