sorcery -> instant for tiny power boost and because we have a lot of sorceries
Maybe this could be tuned to work at rare?
I really like this card but its being forced out of the skeleton due to lack of DFC slots,
fixed skeleton position
removing from skeleton
rearrange wording to match Wandering Wolf
Also square stats are usually better on things that could have a growing number of +1/+1 counters.
It feels like a bunch of unrelated abilities to me. Have we seen that evasion outside of green before? I think disfigured things are usually worse at blocking not better.
I guess we don't want non-revolution DFCs in white, eh?
But the design itself?
Oooh,. Alliterative.
Also, to the flavor text:
:|
Disfiguring sounds like a drawback. Paranormal?
While true, a body that cheap is hard to do developmentally. We could do this as a 2/2 for 4that becomes a 5/5, but we already have a large menace guy
Super-soldier serum
I have no idea how I ended up with that text.
I wanted to try the pushed version in the next playtest, can tone it down or move to rare if its too much but I suspect its fine in limited.
Basically the other black uncommons Plea Bargain, Extract Essence and briefly Barter in Blood all forced out this card. As black can't really support more than 2 uncommon sorceries unless one of them is a DFC.
3/2 is one measly worm. While I don't mind the flavor the card reads far more like a common to me.
That's still always going to be my first pick.
If this doesn't turn out way overpowered, I'm fine with it as is, but the alternative sounds good, too.
Alternative could be 1U for 2/1 and same back.
It's not particularly exciting. It doesn't play to any of our themes. Closest would be either WB for larger justice creatures or to get back pivotal BG guys. Neither deck particularly wants/needs this kind of effect. It actually is best in a UGb deck, which is weird.
I feel like this slot could be a lot more.
What Jackal said.
Why not just "creatures you control"?
I think what I meant to say was "Can we get a reason for cutting this other than low power level?" I didn't mean to fight for this card over other cards, I was just hoping for some more useful feedback about what part of this card didn't work in our set.
Maybe you want to save the canister for a big spell next turn, maybe you reanimated something with a good ability that doesn't require tapping and you don't need it to attack or block. They stopped making 4 mana reanimate so they could worry less about it when making big creatures. We can still compare the power of our 5 mana reanimate to the 5 mana reanimates that they are still printing.
Yeah, this seems absurdly strong.
Also Zombify hasn't been a standard legal card since 9th Edition.
But then would you ever not untap the creature?
