Annnd cyclewise I just realised I backed myself into a corner. This needs to be CMC 1 mythic planeswalker to fill the cycle out. Yeahno. I already knew this had to be the "Give stuff madness" piece, to fit with the ways of making stuff discard. (And affect everyone, because buahahaha I like stuff blowing up in your own face).
I think I'll cheat; and make it
with a
somewhere on it. (I already did that, with
madness on another card.
So maybe this is too focussed on the card/madness part of my loose cycle? Perhaps the first two abilities should focus instead on devoidness or sphinxness?
Is there a way to make the "UEOT" last until after you discard for having too many cards in hand? Change it to "Until your next upkeep" would work, but feels a bit blatant.
"Until your next turn" is the way planeswalkers are often phrased. Or since it's effectively an ultimate (on an extremely expensive walker at that), why limit it? "You get an emblem with ''Cards in your hand have Madness
''."
Hmmm. That is one sides and.. yeah, it's a 6-and-a howling-mine away.
I think the -21 has to stay what it is; it's an enabler for you and fits the theme. Maybe I could replace the -1 with.. hmm; I dunno. Reducing casting cost of devoid doesn't actually interact with Sphinx's Bargain the way I want it to. Not quite sure how to make that work, really.
(Any comment on the bargain? That's the one of the cycle I thought most controversial)
