For Challenge # 081. I figured I'd cut someone off at the pass and make a snow charm.

The first ability seems pretty obvious. After that, it's a trick trying to make the card both relevant, and do things that any color thinks is fine to do. Colorless instants are particularly tricky. Show someone a color-pie breaking artifact and they shrug. Show that same person an instant with no color identity doing anything and the immediate response is "That feels [color]. Why wouldn't that be [color]."

Luckily, 'can't be blocked except by things like it' belongs equally to each color. It's also a good flavor match, which is what I was going for with the second ability. Counter target activated ability is technically blue... but it's come up on, like, 6 cards? 9 cards if you count the fact that it used to be in Green? I'm pretty sure blue can share so that snow can get a nice "It don't work 'cause it's frozen" feel.

Oh yes, nice job coming up with three "snow" abilities. I guess this is why there weren't any snow instants or sorceries to start with :)

I considered a snow charm, but couldn't think of anything good for it.

Heh, cool. Glad to see every one of the mana symbols Multiverse supports used for this challenge :>

Mmm.. the other thing snow does (pretty much exclusively) is paying for culmulative upkeep. Presumably mimicking melting. But that'd be kinda overly niche. I like this one.

Well, every type of mana symbol, I think we're still missing:

{pr} {pb} {pw} {pg} {2/w} {2/r} {2/g} {2/b} {2/u} {y} {?} {5} {6} {7} {8} {9} {10} {11} {12} {15} {16} {100} {-3} etc :)

And I guess {c} doesn't count :)

Is there a list somewhere of which symbols multiverse supports? I think you've mentioned it in a comment when you added a few of the unusual symbols, but I can't remember if there's an up-to-date list. I can't remember if {1000000} and {infinity} and {13},{14} etc were added :)

ETA: Added several missing. Removed {0}.

The completist in me must add {w/3}{u/3}{b/3}{r/3}{g/3} to Jack's list. That and subtract {0}, since I used that one.

Hmm... does {Z} work? Guess not.

Also, Jack, do not tempt me to make a charm worth {1000000}. I'm afraid of what monstrosity that would result in.

Huh, I can't remember if I ever saw the {3/w} mana costs on multiverse.

Did you use {0}? You had a spell with a converted mana cost of zero, but did it actually use the mana symbol {0}? :) I did hesitate trying to remember if that had gone or not :)

I used {0}, because you wouldn't be able to cast the spell otherwise. :p

I suppose I could have written "As an alternative cost" instead of "As an additional cost". That's kind of weird wording. An alternative to what, exactly? :D

Oh, sorry! I thought you made (((Temporal Charm))) with suspend, which was 0-CMC-but-not-{0}, but that wasn't you. Did you make one that I didn't see?

Maybe. Did you see Jolrael's Charm?

Doh, the very first one! I saw it, thought it was good, but then forgot and missed it when I skimmed the comments. Oops :)

Oh, you silly people. You successfully tempted me to make a charm costing {1000000}, and Omnipotence Charm is the result.

As always, I'm happy to share for the love of terrible ideas. ;)
