That's a very specific target :)

So contraptions here are, what - sort of like enchantment tokens? Cool.

The Comp Rules say Contraption is an artifact subtype. So I'd guess this set's contraptions have "Modify", which works like equip, but without the controller assumption.

Ah, yes, the set's Mechanics page says:

> "Assemble a Contraption on X" means "Put a Contraption artifact token onto the battlefield attached to X." X is said to be "modified" by the Contraption. When a Contraption isn't modifying anything, it's put its controller's graveyard as a state-based effect.

Very like Aura tokens, yeah, just artifact rather than enchantment.
