See Challenge # 123. I attempted to design a tri-color command. I chose mardu wedge haphazardly. RW, WB, R/B W, RWB order.
I won't say this ended up balanced.
Derek Ohd, Time Thief
Similar to Adak's recent Foecrusher, I think where this ended up was pretty interesting after all.
Thank you.
Interesting!
Time Demon
See Challenge # 150.
I variant on Eater of Days, where the extra turns are ongoing but not upfront.
I'm amused how this would go in multiplayer :)
Interesting take on red extra turns. Nice flavor, too.
Coup de Grace
See Challenge # 150.
First and second abilities now target to synergize with ultimate. Ultimate cost down to 7.
Drawing extra cards became"can't be attacked"
A note for my self (because when I look back at planeswalkers months/years later, I often find I've forgotten my original concept of them): Echron is a Cloudwalker planeswalker who manipulates time. His ultimate is meant to flavorfully represent him helping you bring in a version of yourself from a different time in your life to aid you.
Somehow I created this in the wrong set.
I wonder if "That player can't be attacked" would be a better advantage. After all, with the other player(s) in the game hopefully having established themselves by the time you hit the ultimate, it may be a struggle to keep your second self around to accomplish anything meaningful.
Oops, I think I hadn't intended it to double card-drawing. Um, ok, it probably should cost more, which is more appropriate anyway. But I wanted to focus on "you can have two separate battlefields but have to spread your resources between them" not "you have twice as many resources."
And oops, yes, I forgot to specify what happens if it dies :)
Thanks.
Neat!
I created Echron, the Visitor.
This is wacky. So it lets you play double the number of lands and draw twice as many cards, all for only one mana? What happens to the permanents you played during that turn when this guy is removed?
See Challenge # 150.
Dark Gift Demon
ETA: And Plane Shifter
See Challenge # 150.
This challenge was partly inspired by "Eternal Summer" at: http://goblinartisans.blogspot.co.uk/2016/05/weekend-art-challenge-052016-music.html?showComment=1463794547862#c6583985943446912171
So I approved of green extra-turns, but at first, this felt more like "drawback" than "slow".
Ah, sorry, I didn't really realise what the poem was about. With that couplet, it makes a lot more sense, although I think the name doesn't really make sense without knowing the poem already.
That does fit-flavour wise, but skipping a turn does just feel really black/red. Could it work if you can't attack or play spells next text? That gives up a lot of the benefit of a turn, but keeps the green things (card draw, land drop).
Maybe if I add some flavor text from 'To His Coy Mistress' it will help? Honestly, I can't think of a color more appropriate than green when it comes to taking its time.
