See Benalish Impounder and Challenge # 149.
dude1818's wording borrows from Lighthouse Chronologist and is better in multiplayer and also easier to understand.
Or "at the end of each opponent's turn, take an extra turn."
😅
"At the end of each of your turns, if it's not an extra turn, take an extra turn after this one."
The idea would be that this would exist in a setting where your opponent has fossils.
And you should know by now that I can't format wording for the life of me.
It's a pretty simple card if you have no fossils.
I would like to point out that the wording on the extra turn ability basically means "you win the game," since no other player will be getting a turn.
Went back to one my old, bad ideas and came up Mass Extinction Event.
See Challenge # 150. I have no idea what this card actually doing, just like I really didn't (though I probably thought I did) with Pleisosaur Fossil and Climate Shift.
Legit.
Seems more like a compounder.
Benalish Impounder
See Challenge # 149 and Benalish Custodian.
See Challenge # 150.
Because cascade cards need to provide more value.
It's "Benalish," not "Benalian," isn't it? I'm not up on my old magic flavor.
This would also be fine with the current text as a
spell.
Yeah, I really wanted to capture the flavour of the spell I imagined, which was red (and did damage with an extra turn as side effect), but I think maybe it is better suited to a UB spell (with an extra turn, and life loss as additional cost or side effect).
Oh yes, good point, I forgot they could do that "for free".
Benalish Custodian.
See Challenge # 149 and Tolarian Custodian.
I made Tazri's Stronghold and Deal with the Devil.
See Challenge # 150.
Well, you probably won't be playing anything at instant speed after the extra turn. A sensible opponent will tap all of your lands.
Interestingly, this feels like a
spell to me. Or it would, if it caused life loss instead of damage.
ROFL. Oh, wow, that's great flavour. And I've no idea if I'd use it or not. I guess it can produce a cheap extra turn to launder with Magosi, the Waterveil. And if you can avoid having any spells or creatures which can be turned against you, the best/worst you get out of the turn is approximately nothing.
But you do get a draw step and an untap step if you have instant "target opponent" spells to use in the following opponent's turn.
And I keep wondering if you can get other use out of it, eg. in a hypothetical "creature attacks each turn if able" deck :)
And of course, it would be great in multiplayer, it's almost an extra turn if there's any opponent you feel is more scared of someone else than you.
See Challenge # 150.
Very interesting. I'm not sure if I would want to play it or not, but it's still intriguing.
