a 4/4 for
with no downside unless it gets killed/bounced/etc? WOW!
40? You're joking, right?
Yeah, I like it, but it should probably be 40 rather than 4 to make a significant drawback. (Or maybe the top half, so you can play multiples of it, but it gets more and more dangerous.) (Altough that severs the connection to phyresis unfortunately.)
I like it. "...unless" spells are usually quite weak, but this will often (but not always) have a good effect. Strong, but not a hard counter, is good for 1CU.
I knew it was challenging when I made it, but I didn't think it would be hard enough that people wouldn't do it. I should probably get around to actually doing it myself.
My favorite bit is that infinite mana lets you use his "tap" ability infinite times.
Wow. Talk about a beast. That isn't really a drawback since it is highly unlikely that I'll lose the game with a 56 card deck instead of a 60 card deck. It is, however, a benefit if I'm playing cards like Brainstorm.
That is a tougher challenge than it looks. Mostly, because what it really wants you to do is to come up with an interaction in magic that hasn't happened before. I created Unparalleled Growth and Gruumsh Simpleton which brought forward an interaction that barely comes up, but I feel like I failed in some way since you could already do this with a couple of old Magic cards. I'll think on this one, and maybe I'll come up with something totally new later.
Good challenge. Just very hard.
Challenge # 009
For Challenge # 009.
Submitting Spell Spoiling and Scalping Beast
Also, Generalised Turing Construct. Since Adaptive Automaton is a construct lord, but not a constuct lord :)
It's a bit similar to your example, but the obvious answer to me was: Earth Maester and Sky Maester, similar to previous cards but paired this directly.
