I created Citadel of the Foremost and Aftalan's Sanctum.
It Gets Everywhere
For Challenge # 153. I like the idea of sand counters, and figured I try a hack at it. But they need to be handled with jurisprudence, otherwise the game grinds to a halt. Maybe this shouldn't be common, but I figured some light board sweeping effect against artifacts isn't so bad in common if it's reverseable.
Added Blast Furnace Juggernaut.
For Challenge # 153. I kind of wanted to add an inertia counter at the end of each turn... but I guess this card is wordy enough.
Lost to Time
For Challenge # 153. I can't figure out if this card is too harsh or not. Mostly, I just liked the idea of thinking about lost knowledge, and wanted to make a blue card that did that. But I suppose there's an argument that Millstone might be a better card in some decks, and that don't seem right.
Added Teego
For Challenge # 153. I originally had this card only deal the damage to you if Junker Sue was not on the battlefield, but there's too many words, so that's gone.
Yes, I know Crew would likely be replaced with a new keyword altogether. We cool.
Added Drop It Hard.
For Challenge # 153. I don't think anyone has approached this from the point of view of the small planes taking down the large machine. So I figured I'd focus on that.
My first thought was to do Convoke + Reprisal. Which seems like a natural choice for Convoke--I'm kind of surprised it hasn't happened yet. But convoke isn't exciting unless the spell has some heft in the casting cost, so I figured I'd change things up a little and focus on casting cost. White likes small things. It doesn't like big things. How come I haven't seen this pop up? How come Fragmentize does the exact opposite?
Long // Arduous
See Challenge # 153.
Is that a buffering gif? For a stream of deception?
Nope it actually was just not loading.
If the images had been there, I would have made Kick Ass/Chew Gum, but I think I could only make it work by making Chew Gum allude to kicking ass.
I made Taralt, the Shielded City.
See Challenge # 153.
I traditionally design cards late in the process on my own challenges, partially because I don't want to influence the direction the challenge takes. But I'm a little behind this time. I'm throwing my two cents in, but it may take a couple days to get there.
Ha! Also, a potential split card could have been Kick Ass//Chew Gum. The Kick Ass side would only be playable, though, if you could not legally cast Chew Gum.
Funny, I was just thinking about this mechanic a week ago, and thinking of dumping it into Cards Without a Home, to see if anyone else wanted it. It seems like an obvious choice for a dual land cycle in the future. I'll be surprised if I never see it.
Hmm. Tricky. The life gain is a nice bonus, but it's bound to be a little underwhelming. I'd argue that

might be a structurally better card, but then the hexproof instant would be awkward enough so that the card might not see play. Hm.
